He’s waited years for her…

In a pack of werewolves, a half human isn't exactly at the top of the food chain. Half-human, half-werewolf, Ria Marlett knows her place in the pack. And she knows exactly how the pack’s alpha, Drake Neilson, views her; as a convenient lay. So far she’s managed to avoid his advances, but she knows his patience is growing thin.

Now he's ready to claim her.

Ria does her best to avoid Drake, but the sexy woman can’t hide who she is. Tired of waiting, now he’ll do whatever it takes to win Ria, even woo her while dealing with rabid lone wolf attacks. With the pack in danger Ria is forced to face what Drake has been telling her all along, she just might be the strongest of the pack.

Length: 23,000 words

Thoughts:
"I'm the Alpha.  I get busy and in order for me to be able to court you, one of us has to be available.
She blinked up at him.  "You didn't just say that to me."...
"You expect me to be available whenever."
He sat back.  The intensity of his gaze had her pinned to the seat.  If took all she had to keep eye contact....
"Do you remember who I am?"
"I'm pretty sure some spoiled celebrity is wondering who stole their line right now."

FULL CIRCLE by Chudney Thomas is the thrilling debut novella in her new Central Florida Pack series.  Thank you to Katie Reus for recommending this book and author!   I knew I had to read it when I saw there's a wolf-pack in my neck of the woods -central Florida!  I didn't really know what to expect, but found it to be a very enjoyable tale of intrigue and romance in an Orlando wolf-pack. Even though it's a relatively quick read at only 75 pages, it has a well-developed storyline with genuine characters and features intriguing pack dynamics.

Both primary characters were likeable and realistic.  Ria Marlett, our heroine, believes herself to be at the bottom of the pack's pecking order.  AND pecking order matters!  In reality, she's a strong-willed half human/half wolf with a feisty outlook and a caring heart.  Still reeling from the tragic loss of her parents, she wants Drake, but is afraid to let him in.

Drake Nelson, our hero, is the Alpha of the pack and super sexy.  He's a take-charge type of guy and his wolf wants Ria badly.  LOL!  He possesses the mature wisdom of Solomon in pack matters, but when it comes to Ria, he is out of control.  He has known that Ria was his mate since she was 17 years old, but has patiently and frustratedly waited until he felt that the time was right.  Thanks to his perceptive wolf sense of smell, he knows that Ria lusts after him.  Everyone in the pack knows that Ria belongs to him.  The only person he has to convince is his mate.   Their interactions and awakening of love are sweet and hot and totally captivating.

Secondary characters shined also!  I loved James, Drake's second, self-assured and true, and I hope he gets his own book later in this series along with Paola, a dish of a sentry.   Doc was another great character!  He'd known Drake since he was a cub and he wasn't afraid to express his opinion to him.

Following please find a few of my favorite quotes:

His wolf was triumphant.  At last, she recognized him.  He scented her panic and swooped in, determined to nip it in the bud.  His hand closed on her neck.  The curls at her nape tickled his palm  Drake wrapped her ponytail around his fist as she tried to back away. A brief warning growl left his lips as they covered hers in a soul-searing kiss.
---

Drake growled against her mouth.  Ria's body felt as if it were a flame.  When Drake made that sound, she melted for him.  Something about that rumble that began in his chest caressed every nerve in her body, making her want more.  He pushed her shirt up and began to nip at her belly.
---

Drake's eyes opened, and Ria felt her heart rate pick up.  Gently, he removed her hand and backed off the bed to shed his jeans in record time.  Commando.  She couldn't help the grin that spread across her face.
He crooked an eyebrow at her.  "I'm not going to be the only one naked here."
---

"Isn't this exactly why you chose not to contest my claim?"
"Damn straight.  I don't have your touch for diplomacy."
Doc barked out a laugh.  "If you think Drake's diplomatic, my boy, it's a good thing you're his second.  I'd hate to see what you'd consider diplomacy."

I thoroughly enjoyed the author's writing.  Her descriptions of scenes, the camaraderie, bantering and dialogue were wonderfully entertaining.  With such an engaging, fast-paced start to this new series, I can't wait for Chudney's next book.

The story kept me riveted from beginning to the end.  You will definitely want to read this in one sitting.  My only complaint is that I wanted MORE!  With thrilling suspense, danger, drama, jealous werewolves, and a plot that rocks, the story will keep readers guessing right up to a satisfying ending where most of  the pressing issues are resolved.  However, there is a quasi cliffhanger at the last minute;  It's not the type of cliffhanger to keep me up nights so I'll forgive the author for this if she'll release the next book in this series quickly.  :-)))  You will seriously want to check out FULL CIRCLE if you love tales featuring sexy wolf shifters.  Those who enjoy paranormal romances will be hooked!
