Question of the Week: Is there a super hawt & smexy book that you've read and loved but would die if you ever caught your mom reading?

The World is a Stage by Tamara Morgan (Guest Post/Giveaway)

Please give a warm welcome to romance author, Tamara Morgan

It’s Not That Kind of Shakespeare

When I tell people that my newest release has a Shakespearean theme, I can almost hear the moans and groans across the Internet.

It’s not that I blame them…most people hear the word Shakespeare and immediately revert to their high school years, when the obligatory Hamlet or Henry V was shoved down their throats, burning all the way. I don’t know a whole lot of young readers who love Shakespeare and, admittedly, I was one of the many students who would watch the movie instead of actually reading the play. (High school survival tip: When watching the movie, always go for the Kenneth Branagh version. Always.)

Lexi's Thoughts:
The chance to marry for love was not a common occurrence in Regency England. So not too much of a surprise that Amelia and Jake found love but were unable to marry. Why you may say, those reasons are fun to discover in Lady Amelia’s Mess and a Half.

4th Annual U.S. Military Wives Contest—Open for Entries!

Good morning lovelies! Sourcebooks author, Sara Humphreys, has an amazing contest going on right now as a Thank You to those who serve our country and their wonderfully supportive families. It started over the Memorial Day weekend but runs until Labor Day weekend.

4th Annual U.S. Military Wives Contest—Open for Entries!

For the past couple of years, as a special thank you to our service members and their families, I have held a contest just for Military Wives. It turned out to be an incredibly rewarding experience. I had the privilege of meeting several incredible women and their beautiful families. It's so easy to forget that there are real people who are deeply affected by the conflicts overseas. Hearing the personal stories of these families helped me remember that our troops are husbands, fathers, brothers and sons who are immensely loved and sorely missed.
This contest will run from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend but start sending those entries in now!

Tour: Once Her Man, Always Her Man by Heather Long (Guest Post)

Today I would like you to please give a warm welcome back to romance author, Heather Long!

Why Marines? Why Not!

Once Her Man, Always Her Man kicks off the 1Night Stand sub series Always a Marine. In Once Her Man, Always Her Man Luke Dexter and Rebecca Ranier connect after an 11-year separation, allowing the Marine and his high school sweetheart a second chance at love.

The second book, Retreat Hell! She Just Got Here finds Gunnery Sergeant Jasmine “Jazz” Winters enjoying leave to visit friends and family back in the States. At the end of her active duty contract, she plans to ‘re-up’ and ‘re-deploy’ with her unit to the Middle East but before that happens, she wants one night to feel like a real woman.  Thanks to Madame Eve’s service, she also gets her other desire fulfilled: the opportunity of a ménage with two fantastic men (and Marines) Logan Cavanaugh and Zach Evans.

The next three books follow men from Luke’s unit (including Brody who like Jazz is still on active duty) as they participate in 1Night Stands in an act of unity to show their brothers and sisters that re-integrating into civilian life has possibilities and pleasure.  If you can’t tell, I love this series, but I love it because I fell for each and every Marine I wrote about.

Ménage a May: Somewhere In Between by Stacey Kennedy (Guest Post/Giveaway)

Welcome to the last day of our Ménage a May. Thank you so much for joining us and a huge thank you to all of the fabulous authors who participated in our event! To end things we have the super sweet Stacey Kennedy joining us with her book, Somewhere In Between.

Huge thanks to Reading Between the Wines for allowing me to take part in the Ménage a May! What a great event! Nothing better than celebrating those smexy threesomes!

I’ve written a couple ménage stories, each a sizzling tale that had me fanning myself. But I have to admit that my favorite story to write was SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN. This story was two firsts for me. I’d never written a suspenseful erotic romance before. Sure, I’ve done urban fantasy stories that tend to have a suspenseful edge to them, but I’ve never written one in a contemporary setting. And that was simply FUN!

Ménage a May: The Naughty List by Jodi Redford (Excerpt/Giveaway)

Happy Memorial Day, lovelies! Ménage a May is winding down to an end but we aren't there yet so lets keep the fun going! Today I would like to welcome Jodi Redford who has a sexy snippet for us from her book, The Naughty List!

Makin’ a list, and rocking it…twice.
Perpetual good girl Lacey McGuire has two Christmas wish lists. One suitable for public consumption…and a private one that’s too hot to handle. Right at the top: wild, wicked fantasies about her best buddies and business partners Ryan Hollister and Bram Colton.
Besides the fact they’re both poster boys for Hunks ’R’ Us, they’ve been there for her through thick, thin and the heartbreak of a cheating fiancé. So what if her boys will never know they star in her sexiest daydreams? In her fantasy world, her heart will never get trampled again.
Ry and Bram are pretty sure Lacey never meant to email a list of some of her raunchiest wants. Particularly the one that tightens their shorts—she wants a threesome. With them. Although they’ve loved her for years, they made a pact to keep Lacey off limits in order to protect their friendship. Now all bets are off. And the quest to give her all she wants—and more—is on.
Warning: This book contains a wickedly hot M/F/M ménage that will heat up the holidays. Friends steaming things up in a hot tub. Bondage and blindfolds. Sexy shenanigans at a Christmas tree lot. And maybe even a glimpse of Santa…in a Speedo.

Tour: A Skinwalker's Legacy by Shae Wynters (Guest Post/Giveaway)

Please give a warm welcome to Shae Wynters who is joining us on tour with her book, A Skinwalker's Legacy

Paranormal Sensuality
by Shae Wynters

The paranormal narrative craze is still strong in the land of romance. While the focus has gone beyond werewolves and vampires, many other creatures are waiting in the wings for their chance at romance.

The Navajo Skinwalker legend served as the backdrop for my series A Skinwalker's Legacy with a focus on the dangerous coupling of a guard and his chieftess. I always loved forbidden romances, especially ones which pit our couple against an age old prophecy that keeps them from being together.
Lexia Torrance is a self-sufficient woman who has lived her life closed off. Battling changes in her body due to the emergence of her skinwalker powers, she has trained herself not to trust or get close to anyone. Her life is her work as she assists the local police with solving crimes.
Galen Cortes is a part Fae and part Skinwalker guard of Southwest Skinwalker tribe. He has been watching Lexia since she was young, making sure she remains safe not only from the outside world but also herself.
Galen was one of the reasons I loved writing this story. One of the sexiest and most fun things about paranormal romances are the hot heroes that get to seduce our heroines. He's a big muscular protector who isn't afraid to let his lady take the reigns both in and out of the bedroom.

Ménage à May: Olivia Starke (Guest Post/Giveaway)

Paranormal romance author, Olivia Starke is joining us today for Ménage à May with her fantasy ménage trio and a giveaway, enjoy!

My Ménage Fantasy Trio

We all have our fantasy trios when it comes to group sex. When it comes to men, I have several ideas who I’d like to play with and what parts they’d play. Here is a rundown of my top picks for a fantasy threesome.

Ménage à May: Yours To Take by Joely Sue Burkhart (Guest Post/Giveaway)

Welcome back lovelies! Today I would like to welcome erotic romance author, Joely Sue Burkhart to our Ménage à May event. Joely is joining us on her blog tour for her newest contemporary erotic romance novel, Yours To Take.

When a Menage Isn't Three Ways

Okay, okay, we know that a ménage à trois involves three people. But what happens if all three people aren't physically attracted to each other? It's hard enough to write a menage in a modern-day world where three people end up in a committed relationship. Why on earth would people choose to stay together if they all didn't love and desire each
other?

That's the challenge I faced in Yours to Take.

Elias loves Vicki and she loves him.

Jesse loves Vicki and she loves him.

Ménage a May: Worlds Apart by Barbara Elsborg (Feature/Excerpt/Giveaway)

Welcome to Day 7 of our Ménage a May event! Today we have an excerpt and giveaway of Barbara Elsborg's spanking new release, World's Apart

Worlds Apart
Love has never been so close—or seemed so far away.
I love you. Niall is in hiding, but not from the police. He’s trapped between the world he longs for and a place he can’t leave behind. Cursed to hold his tongue, unable to claim what he wants until it’s given, he’s allowed one year to capture his heart's desire. But speaking those three simple words, the most important words in his life, might very well kill him.
I can’t love you. As a private investigator, Taylor walks daily through the ashes of love burned out. He’s witnessed the aftermath of love—destroyed marriages and wrecked lives that leave behind nothing but bitter memories of betrayal. He’s convinced that love will never plant a seed in his heart—until Niall sparks a completely unexpected reaction in both mind and body.
I want to love you. Roo has spent her entire life bouncing from relationship to relationship, offering her heart only to get it trampled on. When she finds herself out in the cold again, she discovers love can come from the most surprising of places. Her choices are simple. Do the right thing. Do the wrong thing. Do nothing. The wrong choice could be simply devastating…
Product Warnings : Beware faeries with killer tattoos and girls dressed as chickens—broken hearts can follow… Or lots of love. And lots of sex—three-way, two-way, every which way. But no chicken sex. Thank god.

Ménage a May: Dragon's Lair by Seraphina Donavan (Guest Post/Giveaway)

Jumping Into the Deep End....

So last summer I went to the big RWA Conference in New York.  I had written one (yes, just one) Regency Romance novel.  I did not have a contract for it, but I thought I could go to this conference and maybe, just maybe, come home with either a contract or an agent.  What I actually came home with was a bunch of business cards where people asked me to submit my work and turned me down.  Some did it quicker than others, some did it nicer than others, but sadly, everyone said no.  I DID get a contract for that book from a house I had submitted to prior to the conference and it comes out in August, so yay me.  My book with the happy ending got its own happy ending.

The other thing I came out of that conference with was the notion of writing erotica.  The leap from romance to erotica is not as big as some would think.  If you have the ability to write to begin with, making that leap only requires a working knowledge of anatomy and a lack of shame.  So, I listened to all these people at the conference talk about writing erotica (and yes, most of them whisper when they talk about it), and I realized that as a market, it is growing by leaps and bounds.  I mean, come on, who doesn’t want more hot amazing sex in their lives, right?  I came home, I thought I can do this.  And then it all goes to hell in a hand basket.

Menage a May: Master's Hunt by Verity Ant Tour (Guest Post/Giveaway)

Welcome back lovely! We have another great post for our event with erotica author, Verity Ant. She is joining us on tour for her book, Master's Hunt and also have a deliciously fun giveaway for it. Enjoy!

Multiple Women Ménage
by Verity Ant

It has always been the case that ménage with one man and two women has been popular in men's erotic fiction. In more recent years, some of that has trickled over to women's erotic fiction as well. More prevalent, over the last five years or so, has been the trend toward two men and one woman for women's ménage erotica. M/F/M sex has been a fantasy of women for a long, long time, but they're only now getting a chance to read about it more freely and publish it openly.

Ménage a May: Blushing Violet by Ann Mayburn (Feature/Excerpt/Giveaway)

Moving right along in our event a master of erotica, Ann Mayburn, has provided us with a fun little snippet from her M/F, M/F/M novel, Blushing Violet. She is also offering a copy to giveaway at the end, enjoy!

Blushing Violet
Shy and quirky Violet Bishop has finally found the perfect way to meet a man who could fulfill her hidden submissive desires, something that she has never dared to ask her conservative and uptight ex-boyfriends to do. She joins an on-line matchmaking site that puts couples together based on the books that they love, in this case the BDSM erotica that lines her bookshelves.
Two Dominant best friends and business partners, Carlos Romano and Morgan Kane, are matched with Violet. They both want to date her and rather than fight about it they decide to keep the fact that they know each other away from her and let her pick who she wants to be with. A good idea in theory but something that become impossible as they both fall in love with Violet and wish to make her their own.
Carlos and Morgan work on building up Violet’s almost non-existent self-esteem and help her find an inner strength she never knew she had, along with an almost bottomless craving for their dominant touch. When Violet discovers they have been lying to her, the men realize that they have made her strong enough to leave them, and they have to find a way to win their perfect woman back, no matter what.

Ménage a May: Tour for My Wicked Gladiators by Lauren Hawkeye (Guest Post)

Hello lovies and welcome back to Ménage a May! Now I would like to welcome back erotica author, Lauren Hawkeye, who is joining us with her new release of My Wicked Gladiators. A sexy menage historical!

Erotica is in again.

As a writer who first sat down at the computer about five years ago, when erotica was hot last time, this is a huge relief. Many writers pen stories in a plethora of genres, but chances are that only one or two feel like “home” to them. Erotica is that home to me.

I have been teased many a time about writing erotica... people I know say that the stories are “smut”, “not real books”, even that they are “porn”. I used to get mad... now I just laugh. Why? Because the genre was hot five years ago for a reason, and it’s hot again now for the same one.

Ménage a May: Cassandra Carr, Head Games & Cold as Ice (Excerpts)

Erotic Romance author, Cassandra Carr, is joining us now to help us celebrate our event with some sexy excerpts from two of her books from the Buffalo Intimidators series- Heads Games and Cold as Ice. Enjoy!

Leo Laporte and Scott Schaeffer are teammates on the ice and roommates off it who also share women. They’ve been coming into Kelly Chase’s bistro after games for months, and they know they want her. As the attraction grows, the men realize they want more than a one-night stand - they want forever. Kelly’s not so sure. Yes, she wants both men. But a permanent ménage relationship? That’s taking giving her heart away to a whole new level, and a chance she’s hesitant to take. Then Leo is injured and Scott’s on the trading block, and she realizes this may be her only shot at true, everlasting love. There are so many questions swirling around inside Kelly’s head. Can she believe in Leo and Scott’s love? And will her business and her reputation survive once people find out she’s with two men?

Ménage a May: Stephanie Julian (Guest Post/Giveaway)

Good morning and welcome to Day 2 of Ménage a May! Please give a warm welcome to an author who is both talented and super sweet, Stephanie Julian!

I love writing ménage.
I mean, if one hero is good, two has to be better, right?
Absolutely.

The first ménage I read was Lora Leigh’s FORBIDDEN PLEASURE. I was hooked. Her Men of August series is still one I pull out every now and then and reread.
I’ve written four ménages over the past few years and I always love when the story dictates a threesome.

In a ménage, there are three people but four sides to the relationship. There’s the relationship between the heroine and hero one; the relationship between the heroine and hero two, the relationship between the heroes; and finally the relationship between all three.
And yes, even though I don’t write male/male/female relationships (where the men also have a sexual relationship), the men always have a relationship. The story wouldn’t work without it.

We're kicking off Ménage a May with erotic romance author, Jory Strong!

Lexi: Welcome to the blog Jory! And welcome to Ménage a May!

JS: Thanks so much for inviting me!

Lexi: Your book Inked Magic fits right in with our theme this week. Did you know going into this book that you would have such a strong love triangle?

JS: No, it kind of surprised me J But I’m loving it, because it's very different from my other ménages and I’ve written a lot of them. They are actually my favorites to write.

Lexi: You are an erotic romance writer, so people picking up your books should expect erotic romance. Do you ever wish you had added more or less sex into your writing?

JS: Never less, but definitely more. I just finished reading the actual, final printed version of Inked Magic to get my head into the sequel, which begins where Inked Magic ends. As I was reading, I found myself wishing I’d extended the sex scenes, though when I turned it in, I felt like I had just the right balance between sex and everything else going on in the story. The truth is, at least for me, I can always find something I would improve on if I were to go back and revise an already published story. I keep my sanity by making each one the best I can make it at the point where I have to let it go and move on, accepting that with time and growth as an author, I’ll see where I could have done something better if I’d only recognized I needed to do it.
