Rachel Davis will do anything to get her sister out of a bad relationship with her fiancé. Even if it involves a few fibs, a little breaking-and-entering, and blackmailing the fiancé's potential boss, Charles, for his help. So what if the handsome Charles happens to be a vampire? Charles Wright has found the perfect way to trap the man threatening his brother's wife: cozy up to him, get invited along on the skiing trip, and then search for incriminating evidence. How much better that audacious but gorgeous Rachel is just as eager to nail the bastard. As far as he's concerned, there's nothing wrong with a little blackmail between two consenting adults. Especially when it's time for Rachel to pay up.

Thoughts:
This was a breathtakingly fresh vampire tale! There's not a dull moment in this book! I absolutely loved it!

What can happen when an incredibly sexy vampire meets a female computer nerd at a ski resort? Both are driven by family loyalties. Neither is looking for a relationship. This book has something for everyone: romance, steamy sex, humor, unique family dynamics and a hero and heroine who will each find their way into your heart.

I positively fell in love with Charles. He was a sinfully delicious loner. His task was to find who was threatening his brother's mate. When Rachel, a mousy techie, caught him feeding and attempted to blackmail him, he was intrigued by her. He told himself that it would be inconvenient and certainly detrimental to his plans if Rachel publicly accused him of being a vampire, so he agreed to her demands. She just wanted to protect her sister from a fiance who wasn't good for her. Neither was expecting their own heartstrings to be pulled and the sex to be so HOT!

This book can easily be read as a stand-alone. I've not read the 1st book in the series and thoroughly enjoyed this read. I loved it so much that I'm planning to read the 1st in the series soon!

Bottomline: The writing was polished. The world and characters the author created are incredible. The plot kept me riveted from beginning to end. If you are looking for a book with lots of laughs, smokin'-hot chemistry, and a happy ever after that will leave your face sore from smiling, rush to whatever bookstore you use and buy this book now!
