New York Times bestselling author Monica Murphy begins a sexy new contemporary romance series—perfect for fans of Christina Lauren and Emma Chase—that introduces three sisters born to wealth, raised to succeed, ready to love, destined to make waves.

I’ve moved through life doing what’s expected of me. I’m the middle daughter, the dutiful daughter. The one who braved a vicious attack and survived. The one who devoted herself to her family’s business empire. The one who met an ambitious man and fell in love. We were going to run Fleur Cosmetics together, Zachary and I.

Until he got a promotion and left me in the dust. Maybe it’s for the best, between his disloyalty and his wandering eye. But another man was waiting for me. Wanting me. He too has an overwhelming thirst for success, just like Zachary—perhaps even more so. He’s also ruthless. And mysterious. I know nothing about Ryder McKay beyond that he makes me feel things I’ve never felt before.

One stolen moment, a kiss, a touch . . . and I’m hooked. Ryder’s like a powerful drug, and I’m an addict who doesn’t want to be cured. He tells me his intentions aren’t pure, and I believe him. For once, I don’t care. I’m willing to risk everything just to be with him. Including my heart. My soul.

My everything.

Crystal's Thoughts:
Monica Murphy's Owning Violet is a dark, sexy, and consuming story that hooked me from the first page! Cheating men, venomous women, devastating secrets, twisted plots and heart-breaking betrayal...this book had it all. An auspicious start to a series centered around three sisters from a Cosmetics empire.

Violet Fowler plays the duteous daughter at all times, whether it is in her position at her family's company, Fleur Cosmetics, or while dating a man who is perfect on paper. She starts out as a bit of a door mat; from her domineering father, mixed up sisters, and to her unfaithful boyfriend - you really want to give this girl a good shake. But when Ryder McKay steps onto the pages, he gives Violet just the spark she needs to start taking control of her own life.

A near four hundred pages flew by with the quick plot pace and startling twists. Ryder made the perfect anti-hero, you never knew what he was going to do next and whether it would be heart-breaking or pantie-melting. With an unscrupulous past and his questionable choice in women, he begins the book as a black-hearted rogue. I found myself wondering if he really was going to be the other half of this romance. But as the story progressed I couldn't help but letting this dirty-talking bad boy into my heart. The sex between him and Violet was off the charts hot. This book should come with a warning label, something like this... WARNING: A change of panties (or five) will be needed while reading. It's been a while since I've found a book with the intense erotic elements that Owning Violet had in it that I enjoyed as much. Violet made a wonderful heroine who grew throughout the book, there was never a stagnant moment with her. She went from a meek woman with little confidence to a stunning power house with a voice and the confidence to succeed.

There were so many ups and downs in this story, so many times that a future between Violet and Ryder seemed to teeter on the edge of a cliff. Monica Murphy delivered a well-written, addictive book bursting with sex and drama. I can't wait for Stealing Rose!
