Diane Alberts' of Taking What's His Favorite Doctors (Who) + #Giveaway

Hello! I’m Diane Alberts, but you might also know me as Jen McLaughlin! As Diane, I write sexy contemporary romance for Entangled Publishing. My latest book, TAKING WHAT’S HIS, is the fourth book in the Shillings Agency series (all can be read as Standalones, though), and it centers around Holt Cunningham and Lydia Thomas.

Holt, now, he’s one of my favorite heroes. He’s fresh out of the military—as are all the Shillings heroes—and he’s been injured. We don’t know the full extent of his injuries right away—and I will not post spoilers!!—but the injuries aren’t just superficial. They go deeper, too. But there’s another reason I love him, and that’s because…

He loves Doctor Who!

I thought it would be fun to rank my favorite Doctors for you all! If you don’t watch…prepare to be lost. But those of you who do, I’ll rank 9-12, because I haven’t watched the older ones. Ready? READY.

4. Nine. I liked him, I did. But he wasn’t my favorite, I have to say. Maybe because I was too busy waiting for the one I just knew I’d love the most.

3. Twelve. There’s just something about him that doesn’t mesh with me. I don’t know what it is, but it’s just…not there for me. I don’t dislike him, but he’s not my favorite.

2. Eleven. I did love, love, love eleven. He’s a close second to my number one. I liked how boyish and fun he was, and how playful he was. There was just such a nice dynamic to him, and I cried when he regenerated. Hard. Really hard.

1. TEN. Oh, my God, MY TEN. I love love love love love love love Ten. Words cannot express my love for him. And Rose. And Donna. (not a fan of Martha, though). I just loved everything about him, and when Rose and him weren’t together anymore, it killed ME. And when he regenerated, I took a few weeks off before moving on to Eleven. I LOVE TEN AND ROSE FOREVER.

clears throat Sorry. Got carried away. So, if you watch, who are your favorite Doctors?

(Shillings Agency #4)
by Diane Alberts / Jen McLaughlin
Paperback, 168 pages

Some lines are meant to be crossed...

One explosive device was all it took to turn Holt Cunningham from ass-kicking Marine to IT technician. Hell, he's still not over it. So when the cute little strawberry blonde at the bar asks him to kiss her, Holt can't resist the temptation of a sexy distraction. Before he knows it, she's blown his mind...and then skipped out the next morning.

Lydia Thomas never expected things with Holt to go quite that far, but oh, it was worth it. After being far too good for way too long, she was ready to be bad. Except that there's that tiny detail that Lydia kept to herself-Holt just spent the night doing naughty things...with his best friend's little sister.

One night isn't nearly enough. But with his friendship on the line, how far will Holt go in order to claim what's his?

  4. Ten is definitely my favorite Doctor!! I really did like Nine. And Eleven, well, he had to grow on me. I haven't had time to watch much of Twelve - too many things going on - I have hope for him. But No One will replace Ten in my heart! :-)
