He’ll do anything for you. But you’d better say please.
When tomboy sports reporter Charli Beaumonde loses a dream TV job because she’s not girly enough for primetime, she’s determined to land a big scoop and prove her boss made a mistake. But when she gets too close to a football scandal and finds her life threatened, Charli accepts an offer from family friend Grant Waters to hide out at his place—even if Grant predicts nothing but trouble from his buddy’s hard-headed, uncompromising, irrepressible, younger sister. There’s one more problem…
Grant’s “place” is The Ranch, a BDSM resort in Texas, and he’s used to being in charge —even if that means trying to keep Charli in line. But much to Grant’s surprise, she’s intrigued—even envious—of his trainees. They’re the epitome of what she’s never been: sexy, beguiling, and totally irresistible to a man. Still, Grant doesn’t believe for a minute that the sharp-tongued Charli has it in her to be anyone’s submissive. But Charli’s already on her knees vying for the chance to prove that even the Master can be wrong sometimes.

Crystal L's Thoughts:

Oh, how I have been waiting for the downfall of the uber Dom, Grant Waters. Finally, the man has met his match. Charli Beaumonde is a curious sports reporter on the lead of a big story that would bring a huge college football scandal to light. Of course, individuals that would be implicated in the scandal don't want her evidence to see the light of day, and they're willing to kill Charli to shut her up. Charli is willing to take the personal risk to her safety to break the story, but a chance encounter with Grant after someone runs her off the road brings the domineering man into her life, and he's not willing to let her gamble with her safety. His protectiveness is intensified after he finds out that she's the little sister of one of his old military buddies.

So Charli has a choice. She can put up with Grant's high handed protective streak, or her big brothers. Thinking she is chosing the lesser of two evils, she chooses Grant. BIG mistake Charli! As Grant moves Charli to his winery farm to keep a better eye on her, little does she know that Grant has moved her onto the grounds of an exclusive BDSM club. Well, that is she's oblivious till the day she starts snooping and goes exploring in the territory that Grant had labeled as clearly off limits. There is something about seeing the submissive women on their knees that strikes a cord deep inside Charli, and she wants to explore it. She talks Grant into training her, but he makes it clear that their relationship will be temporary, so she's better off leaving personal feelings on the sidelines. Too bad emotions aren't so easy to pack away.

This book had an awesome story line. Grant's emotional issues are deep, and believable  Charli's insecurities were understandable, and made her endearing to me. I found myself sincerely wanting to see these two unlikely characters find love. Readers of this series will surely love Grant's story! Four wine glass toast to this sexy love story and a kudos to Roni Loren for another successful story to her series!
