Not because Billie's talent is in question, but because Billie is a woman. And though these are modern times, some of the local guys still have a problem letting a girl into their 'men's club.'
Soon, Billie is at the center of a small town battle of the sexes, with everyone choosing sides. Her sisters. The townsfolk. Her friends. And yet, the only person whose opinion she cares about doesn't seem to care much at all. Logan Forest, the man who broke her heart when she was eighteen and the man she now shares the bench with every Friday night.
She's got a lot to prove and though Billie Jo Barker scores on the ice, will this girl ever score with the man of her dreams?

Crystal L's Thoughts:

I'm a sucker for a sports romance story. The fact that it was the heroine, Billie Jo who was playing hockey? SOLD. So, it was sad to read that Billie Jo got knocked to hard on the noggin while playing in Sweden, and it caused her to head back to her hometown. It's hard giving up her dream to come back to an uncertain future. It's even harder coming home to a father who is sick, and a grandfather who getting to old to take care of his son. Not to mention, she's a triplet, and her two sisters are a pain in the ass. The problems don't end there though. Coming home also means facing the only man who's ever broken her heart. Logan Forest. Thing is, Logan doesn't know that he hurt her so badly.

Trying to maintain some of the joy she experience from playing hockey, Billie Jo joins her hometown's recreational league. Only, she's met with a lot of small minded men who think a woman shouldn't be allowed to play on their league. Billie inadvertently causes a small town battle of the sexes, and all she wanted to do was play a little hockey. And through all the turmoil, Billie Jo can't help but admire how hot Logan still is after all of these years. So when Logan expresses interest, she's floored. Of course, there's secret she's hiding from Logan, and there's no telling how he'll react if he ever finds out what it is. Will Billie Jo survive all of her small town drama while keeping her sanity intact? Will Logan find out Billie Jo's secret? Will the two be able to work through it all and come out of the problems a stronger couple for it? Well go buy the book to find out! I loved this story and I can not wait to read the next one in the series set to come out soon, Collide. This book gets a solid four and a half wine glass toast from me Ms. Juliana Stone! And I can't wait to read about the bad boy set to star in the next book.
