Held captive against her will…

When Leilani travels to the mountain region of her new planet, Lumineta, she discovers the remote mountain clan has a law stating that any unmated female in their sector can be forced to live there for one moon cycle. At first she’s livid—until she realizes that being held captive means that the warriors bring her gifts and simply try to impress her as part of their courting rituals. But she’s not interested in anyone except the sexy leader—and living under his roof makes her feel nothing like a captive. He has her rethinking everything she thought she knew about Luminet males.

The last thing he needs in his life is a complicated human female…

Con has never thought much about taking a mate. As leader of his clan, he’s too busy and females are too complicated—especially those mysterious humans. But the longer he’s around Leilani, the more he realizes she’s worth fighting for. Despite his planet’s tradition that says two males mate with one female, he has no intention of sharing—or ever letting her go.

Linda's Thoughts:
"Oh...oh, goddess, it's true about your tongues..."

CLAIMED BY THE WARRIOR by Savannah Stuart/Katie Reus is a steamy romance set in a futuristic, sci-fi world. It also contains a bit of a suspenseful mystery that had me on the edge of my seat for a short while - despite that it's not primarily a thriller. I was ensnared by the story from the very beginning. Even though this was a short read, the characters were fleshed out well and the story didn't feel rushed at all.

CLAIMED BY THE WARRIOR is the third book in the author's Lumineta series; It's the first book in this series that I've read. That said, I'm determined to check out the previous books in this series soon as I was completely enamored with the world, its characters and the story. Obviously, CLAIMED BY THE WARRIOR works well as a standalone.

This was the story of Leilani and Con. Leilani had been rescued from Earth as it was imploding years ago and taken to  the planet of Lumineta. On Lumineta, it's traditional that females mate with two brothers. As the story opens, Leilani has traveled to the mountain region of Lumineta to discuss her architectural designs for the sector with Con, the leader of the mostly male clan that resides there. She was not aware of the law in that region that states that unmated females can be forced to live in that region for one moon cycle. When the law is invoked in her case, she was livid. Con is responsible for upholding the law

Both Leilani and Con were great characters. Leilani was smart and feisty; Con was an alpha with a capital A - strong and authoritarian. .I loved their chemistry. Oh my, I've dreamed of tongues ever since I've read this book. You really need to read it to find out why!

Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from this sexy read:

“I want to taste you,” he murmured, his wicked voice full of promises against her neck.
She nodded and let out a garbled moan that could have meant anything, but he thankfully seemed to understand she meant ‘dear goddess, yes please’.
---

"I will not share." The words were out before he could analyze them.
---

"In me, now," she murmured, her eyes sparking with untamed heat. The three most perfect words in his language.

Savannah Stuart is the pseudonym of New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katie Reus. Under this name she writes slightly hotter romance than her mainstream books. Katie is already one of my favorite romantic suspense and paranormal authors. This book proves that her storytelling repertoire is clearly not limited to those genres.

I honestly believe that she cannot write anything but addictive reads! I thoroughly enjoyed this story and my only complaint is that I didn't want it to end. I highly recommend CLAIMED BY THE WARRIOR to anyone who enjoys sci-fi or futuristic romances with a touch of romantic suspense.
