As a fallen Angel of Death, Azrael is cursed to walk the earth alone in search of redemption. One night, as he wanders the streets of New Orleans, he discovers a woman surrounded by panther shifters. No longer able to contain the anger simmering within, Az summons his dark powers and attacks, determined to protect this innocent human from certain death.

Only Jade Pierce is no delicate flower. She's spent years learning to survive and fight the evil forces sent by her ex-lover who refuses to let her go. But after seeing Az in action, she figures she could use a little supernatural help. And so she plans a course of seduction guaranteed to arouse his interest and his angelic passions...

Crystal L's Thoughts:

Holy Moses on the mountain! I forgot how much I loved Cynthia Eden's books until I read Az and Jade's story. Can I please have my own Az to debauch? Pretty please? No? Ugh. Anyways, I should start out by saying that I have not read the first two books in this series. (Bad Crystal!) That being said, I didn't find it necessary to keep up with what was happening. We start off with Az rescuing Jade from three viscous panther shifters in an alley, and the action is like kapow! Az kick-eth butt-eth. As a fallen Death Angel, Az can kill with a touch, so he's a damn dangerous dude. He's pissed as hell that he's stuck on Earth, aggravated at having to deal with all of these emotions that are forced on him, and all he wants is to go home to heaven.

His brother Sam is nothing but a pain in his butt, and Sam's girl Seline says he has to do something to earn his way back into heaven. After learning this, he stumbles onto Jade's situation. He's fascinated by the idea that for once, he doesn't have to stand idly by while an innocent is murdered, waiting for his death touch so that their soul can move on. No, this time, he can help, so he does. Saving Jade from the shifters. What he finds after-wards is that Jade is one hell of a temptation. The only one he's found interesting to give into to touch, taste, and try out sin for a change.

Jade has problems. Or at least one problem. This crazy Alpha panther shifter named Brandt who says she's his mate, and he makes her life a living hell. She's been on the run from him for years, but it's all starting to catch up to her, and she knows that now, more than ever she needs help. Enter Az. The sexy kick ass angel could be her solution if he can get close enough to Brandt to use his kill touch. But while they go through crazy shifters, horrifying prophecies, betrayals, and lust, will they come out on the other side alive? And if they do live through everything, will Az choose heaven over her? And if Az does choose her, is she selfish enough to let him stay and give heaven up forever?

Loved this book! Loved, loved, loved it, and now I have to go buy the first two books cause I'm dying to read Az's brother, Sam's story. Five wine glass toast, and let's just all have naughty thoughts about debauching Az, shall we? *happy sigh*

For some reason thus series has slipped under my radar. It sounds fantastic though. I've read her before & liked it. Thanks Crystal L!
