Captain Jeremy Phillips believes in doing his duty...both as a son and as a friend. This means that he should obey the "friend code" and stay away from his best friend's little sister. Too bad Madison O'Shay doesn't believe in his code and is ready to break all of the rules
As a Navy nurse, Madison is finally stationed next to the man she's been dreaming about for years. And she's ready to launch a full-scale attack to show this thoughtful, handsome Marine that they belong together.

Crystal L's Thoughts:

Captain Jeremy Phillips has a couple of problems. His first problem is that he lives his life to impress his father instead of living it for himself to be happy. Making his father happy requires him staying in the Marine Corp and signing his commitment papers for the next three years. Jeremy has dreams of his own though. He's been writing this book in his spare time. It started out as his hobby, but with every page he writes he wonders if he should dare to dream that it could be more than a hobby.

Jeremy's second problem is Madison  O'Shay. She's a Navy nurse stationed at the same base he's currently stationed at, and she's also his best friend's little sister. So in other words, she's HANDS OFF. However, being hands off with Madison goes against every instinct his body harbors. It certainly doesn't help that Madison seems to be actively trying to seduce him. What's a man to do when his walking wet dream is the one thing he can't touch because of guy code?

Madison O'Shay has been in love with Jeremy since she was sixteen years old and she's tired of waiting for him to come around. She'll do what she's go to do to get the man she loves to admit he has feelings for her, even if it causes problems between herself and her brother to do it.

This was a cute story. Classic best friend's little sister scenario with some different military career twists I enjoyed. I didn't get the chance to read the first book in this series, but I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the Semper Fi series featuring the third best friend in the group. A solid four wine glass toast and I hope you lovely ladies enjoy this humorous little tale of love, lust, and a stubborn man who's trying to avoid an even more stubborn woman, or risk being shot by his best friend as consequence of giving in to temptation in scrubs!

Rating: 4 Wine Glasses
