She’s looking for a future with roots from her past…

For Alesha Reed, coming back to Hope Falls is bittersweet. Twenty years ago it was her home, but that was when her family was still together. Now she’s returning to take over her father’s beloved book store – Read Between the Lines – while he deals with a health crisis. For years Alesha longed for the town, the people, the sense of belonging she once felt and she’s ready for her fresh start amidst the familiar.

He’s seeing an important part of his past as a key to his future…

Reece Brooks has called Hope Falls home for most of his life, but when the opportunity arose to give him a little breathing room from the close-knit community, he took it. It’s normally business-as-usual when he comes home for a visit, so imagine his surprise when this visit home brings him face to face with the first girl to ever break his heart. Granted, they were only seven years old at the time, but still. Fate has brought the girl he’s never forgotten back into his life. Unfortunately, Reece is only in Hope Falls for a limited time and Alesha’s ready to lay down roots there.

Can you really find your soulmate at the age of seven or walk away when you find them again? In their wildest dreams, Reece and Alesha never imagined that their first love would be their greatest love.

Linda's Thoughts:
“Reece?" she asked softly.
"Hmmm?"
"Kiss me."
And he did. There wasn't even a possibility of saying no.”

HOPE FALLS: WILDEST DREAMS is a delightfully sweet and hot romance set in the small town of Hope Falls. I've not read any of the other Hope Falls books, so I can confirm that this novella can be read as a standalone without any difficulty. The novellas published under the Hope Falls' Kindle World umbrella have no timeline nor order to them. Readers also do not need to be familiar with the original Hope Falls series which was written by Melanie Shawn. This is the story of Reece Brooks, carpenter extraordinaire, and Alesha Reed, a book store owner. It is the tale of two youthful best friends who, after being separated twenty years ago, find each other again. I loved their chemistry.

As the story opens, Alesha, our heroine, is moving back to Hope Falls. Alesha spent her early years in Hope Falls and has only fond memories of both it, and the best friend she had left there at the age of seven when her parents split up in a bitter divorce. She has always dreamed of moving back as she was the happiest she had ever been there. She's always wondered if her memories were true or just a dream... and if she could be happy there again. Fast forward to twenty years later as her father has asked her to move back to Hope Falls and take over his beloved book store. On arrival, one of the first things she does is to revisit a favorite park swing, when she sees a very sexy, very athletic guy jogging by. Now she can't stop thinking about him.

Reece, our hero, runs a construction company out of Lake Tahoe, which is within commuting distance of Hope Falls. He is in Hope Falls helping his parents renovate their ice cream parlor there. It just so happens that their ice cream parlor is located next door to the town's only book store. While out jogging, Reece comes upon a lady who catches his eye, and, while he doesn't recognize her, now he can't stop fantasizing about her.

Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from this read:

“Maybe we should go to JT's or bowling or something."
The lopsided grin on Reece's face was probably just as sexy as his kiss, Alesha thought.
Reaching for her hand, he gave it a gentle squeeze. "If that's what you really want to do, we'll do it, but I think we can control ourselves for the rest of the night." Then he winked. "If that's what you really want.”
---

“Alesha walked up to him and looped her arms around his shoulders as she went up on her tiptoes and kissed him. She only meant for it to be a quick kiss but Reece's arms instantly banded around her as he took it deeper. She was readily on board. The man certainly knew how to kiss and she wasn't going to ask him to stop!...
She squirmed for a moment and then reluctantly lifted her head. "Wow."
He chuckled. "I kind of like that I keep getting that response from you."
"I'm normally much more prolific with words but whenever you kiss me, I can't seem to remember any."
His smile deepened. "Now I definitely like that.”
---

“He swallowed hard. "How do you feel?"
"I feel like I want to close these drapes, turn down the lights and crawl into that bed with you and spend the night making love with you. All night." She blushed furiously. ...
"All night, huh?" he asked.
She nodded.
He gave her a sexy grin and repeated her earlier words back to her. "Deal.”

This enchanting novella was my introduction to both Samantha Chase and to Hope Falls. I was enthralled with each. Be forewarned that the hero and heroine are completely endearing characters and you will experience major warm fuzzies while reading their story. I would highly recommend HOPE FALLS: WILDEST DREAMS to anyone who enjoys captivating contemporary small-town, second-chance-at-love romances.
