Two years ago her world was turned upside down…

Sage Miller’s life changed irrevocably with one violent act. Longing for anonymity, she relocated to the coast of North Carolina. Just when her life is settling down, a sexy man from her past shows up and wants to pick up where their explosive relationship left off. And this time, he’s the one calling the shots.

This time he’s not letting her go…

Former Navy SEAL Trent Takoda spent an intense week with the sexiest woman he’d ever met—before she disappeared in the dead of night. Now that he’s found her again, he’s not letting go. When a vicious stalker with ties to her past tracks her down, all bets are off. With a deadly enemy hunting her, Trent will do anything to protect her and prove they belong together.

Linda's Thoughts:
"Trent Takoda stared at the backside of the sexiest woman he'd ever met. A woman he'd spent months trying to find. To discover she was working for his brother was almost too much irony. He didn't know if he should laugh, cry, or get a drink. Maybe he'd do all three later.

DANGEROUS DECEPTION by Savannah Stuart/Katie Reus is a steamy, fast-paced contemporary tale of high stakes action. I am undoubtedly and unabashedly hooked on Katie's racier line of books published under her alternate name of Savannah Stuart! DANGEROUS DECEPTION is a second chance at love story told from several third-person perspectives. It's a quick read, but it doesn't feel that way. It's sexy and suspenseful, with fully-developed characterizations. It's totally addicting and you will want to read it in one sitting.

This is the story of former Navy SEAL Trent Takoda and Sage Miller. The couple had enjoyed one steamy week ensconced at a B&B almost two years ago. It had occurred during an intensely turbulent crossroads period for Sage as her sister's murder trial had just come to a close and Sage had quit her job to start a new life at a place still-to-be-determined. She didn't want to say goodbye to him, so she just left him in the middle of the night. However, she has never forgotten him. She's not seriously dated anyone else since.

Fast-forward to present day. Sage has settled down into a job that she loves. She's scared, though, by an anonymous stalker's threatening phone calls which reference events surrounding her sister's murder. She's verified with the state's attorney, that her sister's killer is still safely in prison - so she doesn't understand who would be after her and privy to the circumstances of her sister's murder. Then...she shockingly meets her boss's new partner - who happens to be his brother and the man of her dreams. One part of her wants to happy dance; the other doesn't want him to be drawn into the danger that surrounds her.

Trent spent months searching for the elusive woman who still taunts him in his dreams. He can't believe she's been working for his brother all along. When he finds that she's in danger, he goes into full-protection mode. Trent is an alpha male who's not letting Sage walk out of his life a second time.

Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from DANGEROUS DECEPTION:

Sage Miller opened the bathroom door and stepped out into the dimly lit bedroom wearing heels and nothing else. If Trent's smile was any indication, she'd chosen the right "outfit."
---

"Do you two know each other?" Jason asked.
She jerked her hand away, thankful Trent let go. "No."
"Yes," Trent said at the same time.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Jason take a few steps back. "Okay then. I'm going to catch up with Sharpe. When you two figure out whether you know each other or not, find me."
---

The picture of her and her younger sister, which normally sat on her nightstand, was face down on the floor....
She pointed to the frame and looked at Steve. "Can I pick this up?"
"I'll do it."...
Ice slid through her veins when he turned it over. Written across the glass in her red lipstick were the words "you're next."

Savannah Stuart is the pseudonym of New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katie Reus. Under this name, she writes slightly hotter romance than her mainstream books. Katie is one of my favorite authors.

I simply could not put this tale down once I'd started it. I highly recommend DANGEROUS DECEPTION to anyone who enjoys racy romantic thrillers!
