Top 5 Reasons to Love Officer Luc Moretti of FRISK ME by Lauren Layne (#Giveaway)

Top 5 Reasons to Love Officer Luc Moretti

1. Hidden depths — My favorite thing about Luc (and the hardest thing to write) was that he’s really a different guy on the outside than he is on the inside. The past couple years have been rough on a personal level, but because Luc’s always been the “charming one” in the family, he doesn’t know how to turn off the smiley Luc. Then along comes Ava, who on one hand, annoys the heck out of him, but on the other hand, allows him to just BE as he really is, without having to fake anything.

2. Dark hair + blue eyes = hottest thing ever (I must take this moment to throw out the disclaimer that the cover model of FRISK ME doesn’t look anything like him, so if you’re partial to blonds, Luc’s not your guy!)

3. He’s not afraid to talk it out when he needs to The Morettis are a tight-knit clan, and one of my favorite scenes in the book was his late-night conversation with his older brother Anthony, where Luc bears his soul a little bit. Of course, the next morning, they go back to acting like nothing happened. But still, it was something ;-)

4. He’s an alpha with a brain. Luc has a couple of alpha-hole moments in the book, but I love how his character sort of evolved into this very evolved manly man. He occasionally grunts and scowls, but he’s also not afraid to dive into the trenches of other people’s emotions.

5. He’s never threatened by Ava’s high-powered career or higher salary, and as far as I’m concerned, it doesn’t get sexier than a man with that kind of confidence.

Officer Luc Moretti had no idea that his dive into the East River would have him drowning in a media frenzy. No matter how many times he tells reporters he was just doing his job, they're determined to make him into NYC's newest hero. Coming from a long line of NYPD's finest, Luc knows that being a cop has nothing to do with headlines and viral videos, and he's more than ready to get back to life away from the cameras—until he meets the gorgeous but jaded journalist assigned to film a TV special on him.

Ava Sims may be the only woman in NYC who isn't in love with Officer Moretti. That's why she's going after the real story—to find out about the man behind the badge. Ava's determined to keep things strictly professional, but the more time she spends around Luc, even she has to admit there's something about a man in uniform . . . and she can't wait to get him out of his.
