Named a Top 10 Pick for Spring 2015 by Publishers Weekly, Mary Wine’s A Sword For His Lady comes out this July! Mary’s agreed to stop by today and has answered some questions for us about herself and her career as an author.
If you could be anyone from any of your books, who would you be and why?
I tend to become attached to every one of my heroines. Just ask my family….they know, when I am at ‘that part’ of the book…stay back. I’m feeling it and the way I am slapping the keyboard should tell you someone needs to die right about then…get too close and it might be you.
What exciting projects are you working on right now?
At the moment, I am busy working on some military contemporys that will release under my Dawn Ryder pen name. The first is ‘Dangerous to Know’ which will release next march.

He'd defend her keep...
After proving himself on the field of battle, Ramon de Segrave is appointed to the Council of Barons by Richard the Lionheart. But instead of taking his most formidable warrior on his latest Crusade, the king assigns Ramon an even more dangerous task—woo and win the Lady of Thistle Keep.
If only she'd yield her heart...
Isabel of Camoys is a capable widow with no intention of surrendering her valuable estate. She's fought long and hard for her independence, and if the price is loneliness, then so be it. She will not yield... even if she does find the powerful knight's heated embrace impossible to ignore.
But when her land is threatened, Isabel reluctantly agrees to allow Ramon and his army to defend the keep—knowing that the price may very well be her heart.
