Author Christi Barth stops by to talk about Aisle Bound #4!

Sweet honeydew and rose petals do we have a treat for you today! Remember the fun wedding themed contemporary romance series Aisle Bound? I sure do, do I am super excited to have its author back! Welcome Christi Barth!

Lexi: FINALLY we get Gib's story! And what a story, whew! *fanning myself* You had me hooked (melted) from that first kiss. How much fun did you have writing that amazing kiss? Because really, it is the pivotal point that drives the whole book.

Christi: Yeah, I kind of had to go straight from zero to eighty in that first chapter. It set the tone for me as a writer - that this was going to be a fast-paced, HOT ride of a book. My husband *may* have received many extra smooches during its creation.

Lexi: Besides good kisses, I am a sucker for British accents. I have always pictured Gib slightly resembling a certain soccer, or football depending on what side of the pond you reside, player. Did you have anyone in particular when you dreamed up Gib?

Christi: Oh my gosh, WHY haven't you checked out my Pinterest boards yet? Of course I have someone in mind! Gib is modeled after the super yummiliciously sexy Matt Bomer. Go peek. Right now. Or just google Matt Bomer to drink in his suited style and drool - like I did day after day after day.

Lexi: Ah! I have seriously been missing out! What a great Pinterest board!
At the end I wanted to shed a tear. One, because I am a sap when it comes to the chick flick movie style endings...and this ending was perfect! Two, because this is the end of the trilogy. Please tell me I am wrong. Am I wrong?

Christi: First of all, I'm thrilled that you wanted to shed a tear because I bawled when I wrote the ending. And again when I edited it. Secondly, you are very, very wrong. Book 4, A Matchless Romance, releases on February 17, 2014. I think of it as a 40,000 word epilogue to the series. You'll get to see Ivy & Ben's wedding, as well as (of course) another great love story.

Lexi: Yaaaay! More Ben and Ivy! But of course you must go on after A Matchless Romance. Many more characters in your head screaming to get out. I get it. I do. I just also love your fun couples at Aisle Bound. These books make me want to go visit Chicago and see it through their eyes. The parks, carriages, restaurants, all of it. Do you feel connected to Chicago a little more from writing this series?

Christi: I actually lived in Chicago for four years, so I was able to weave in lots of personal experiences. The restaurant where Daphne meets her father is where I used to hang out after performing with the Light Opera Works  - and it has great pizza. I coordinated weddings in most of the sites featured in the series. And the Ghirardelli hot chocolate is truly not to be missed. I hope everyone who read the series feels like they've spent a whirlwind weekend in the Windy City.

Lexi: Ghirardelli hot chocolate is on my list next time I visit! Thanks for bringing Chicago to life for us and I can't wait to see where you take us next! And when you do, please come back and visit.

Christi: Well, my next trilogy is set in the Finger Lakes of New York. Lots of romance among the vineyards and waterfalls. Book one will be out in 2014, so I can't wait to visit and tell you all about it!

Lexi: Mmm...the Finger Lakes, excellent wine country. Right up our alley! Thanks for stopping by again Christi!

As florist and co-owner of a successful Chicago wedding planning business, Daphne Lovell has been there for the happiest days of other people's lives. As for her own life? Well, it's hard to be perfectly happy when you're carrying a torch for your sexy, womanizing and oblivious best friend. So when the lights go out on New Year's Eve, she seizes the opportunity to kiss him senseless.
British expat Gibson Moore has a lot on his plate. The hotel he manages is being bought out, his family is crazy and someone just kissed him in the dark. When the lights go on, he searches the room, trying to find the mystery pair of lips. Only, he never thinks to ask the woman standing by his side. He's shocked when he discovers that Daphne is the woman he's been searching for. But Gib's also eager to act upon the attraction for her he's always fought to ignore.
It takes trust to move from friends to lovers, and as Gib's work situation worsens, he is no longer sure he can risk the friendship he relies on most. It's up to Daphne to convince him that some things are worth fighting for…
