After a stunning cliffhanger ending in Forgetting August, USA Today bestselling author J.L. Berg delivers the happily ever after that fans have been waiting for in the sequel, REMEMBERING EVERLY.

He's forgotten his past, but it hasn't forgotten him. After losing two years of his life trapped in a coma, August Kincaid will do anything to win back the love of his life. But his past threatens to destroy his second chance at happiness, it's Everly who is in danger of paying for his crimes.

Crystal's Thoughts:
Remembering Everly was a heart-pounding, and beautiful conclusion to August and Everly's story!

In Forgetting August we had a few surprises at the end, leaving us to question just where that might leave Everly and August! Remembering Everly opens up just a few weeks later. August has remembered how he was put in the coma to begin with and the circumstances surrounding that last fateful day. He knows just how much jeopardy he puts Everly in by being around her, so he uses anger and guilt to push her away- back into the arms of her fiance Ryan. Will this second time be the charm for Everly and Ryan? Can Everly ever truly forget August? Will August ever completely remember his life with Everly? So much strife and drama, I couldn't turn the pages fast enough!

Remembering Everly was an emotional roller-coaster! We have two very conflicted characters who strive to do the right thing but have the tendency to let outside influences color their decisions. Then we have a second love interest in the peripheral that is basically used as an escape route for when things become too hard. As in the first book, there was a frustrating amount of back-and-forth with Everly but when she finally deems to don her big-girl panties - lookout world! She is a force to be reckoned with. I definitely liked and appreciated her character here more then before.

Everly and August's lack of communication seems to be root of all their problems. And while somewhat understandable in his situation, I disliked the way August would make decisions for Everly without even asking her regard. Piece by piece, August's memories are returning. But not fast enough to keep him from becoming immersed in Trent's criminal activities once again. This is a nasty guy right here, and the catalyst of all of August's bad decisions.  Have Everly and August come together again only to repeat their vicious cycle, or can they learn from their mistakes of the past? You'll have to read this duo to find out!

All in all, J.L. Berg has created a simply captivating story that drew me in from the start and never really let me go. It had tension, intrigue, romance, and lots of twists and turns, with several heart-melting and tear-inducing moments, all wrapped up in a well-written package.
