Linda Carroll-Bradd is joining us today with her new contemporary romance, Rekindled Dreams!
Because their relationship is a quasi-reunion (Vena had a crush on Finn during the time they grew up in the same small Montana town), Vena and Finn don’t have anything that resembles a real date during the novel, Rekindled Dreams. So I thought I’d share what a romantic night out would be for this couple.
A half-hour drive west puts them in Shelby, named for Peter O. Shelby, general manager of the Montana Central Railway. Their restaurant destination is a converted rail car from the late 1880s called The Express Car. Outfitted with gas lighting and velvet cushioned booths with privacy drapes, the restaurant provides the perfect atmosphere for a menu that includes exquisite dishes of Montana beef, free-range chicken and fresh seafood. Finn orders a new beer from a local micro-brewery, and Vena enjoys her favorite pinot grigio. Expertly trained staff welcome patrons who enjoy the ambiance as much as the cuisine and allow Vena and Finn the time to chat and enjoy their three-course meal at a leisurely and romantic pace, spiced with kisses and snuggles.

Finnian needs a more settled image if he wants to get ahead in the polls. In order to do that, he needs a wife. With Vena living under his roof, his problem seems solved. As the romantic sparks fly, there's more at risk than Finnian's political aspirations. Can they keep their eye on the prize, or will their growing love derail them both?
