A Drink, A Book and Holiday Cheer: Tina Folsom

Welcome back, look who just dropped by! The fabulous Tina Folsom has brought a delish drink recipe and a sexy vampire...can't wait to try this one out! The drink, the drink! Get those minds out of the gutter! ;)

Being originally from Germany, I love the Glühwein the Germans make around Christmas. It’s hot mulled wine, but the exact translation is “glowing wine”. Guess, it’s because it makes your cheeks glow when you’re drinking too much of it.

Here’s the recipe:
1 bottle of dry red wine (750 ml)
1 orange
2 sticks of cinnamon
                           3 cloves
                           3 tablespoons of sugar
                           some cardamom (or ginger)

Directions:
Heat the red wine in a pot (don't boil). Cut the orange into slices and add to the wine. Then add the cinnamon, cloves, sugar and a little cardamom (to taste). Heat everything for about 5 minutes - do not boil - and let stand for about an hour. Before serving, reheat and strain. Serve in pre-warmed glasses or mugs.

Enjoy! And as you lean back on your couch and pull up your feet underneath you, maybe it’s time to invite one of the Scanguards Vampires into your house. All of them are Alphas and smoldering hot, but Zane, the hero of Zane’s Redemption (released November 3), is not just sexy, but as tortured as they come. Go ahead, and see if you can heal him.

Merry Christmas!
Tina Folsom

You can find out more about Tina and her wonderful works on her website or connect with Tina on her blog, FaceBook and Twitter today!

The last thing vampire bodyguard Zane wants to do is to guard a hybrid, a half-vampire, half-human, whose father wants to keep her a virgin. Known for his violent temper and callous lack of compassion, Zane’s out-of-control rage, born of the cruelty he suffered during the Holocaust, drives him to focus only on revenge. Trying to find the last of his torturers is his only goal in life.Portia is a young hybrid with a serious dilemma: in a few weeks, her body will be set in its final vampire form. If she is to avoid having to live out her immortal life as a virgin, she must find a lover in that short time—something her father hires Zane to prevent. The moment Portia and Zane meet, rules begin to bend, and a forbidden attraction bursts into flames hotter than the hell of Zane’s past. But that past threatens to pull them apart unless they can overcome their prejudice, forsake hate for love, and revenge for forgiveness.

Tina is graciously giving away one copy of Zane's Redemption, print or ebook version, to one lucky reader. To enter, just leave a comment on this post and then fill out the rafflecopter with your name and email address. Additional entries are available but not mandatory. Good Luck!

Yum! This brings back great memories of strolling though the Xmas markets in Europe with a cup of gluhwein. I will have to try this recipe. Of course, it would be even better if one of Tina's vamps was there to drink it with me.

I actually have an open bottle of Gluhwein on my counter right now!

We spent some time living in Germany when my husband was in the Army and I fell in love with German wines. I've already made my way through a bottle this season. ;)

Thanks for sharing Tina!
