Texas BBQ #Recipe (#Coleslaw) with Cathy Gillen Thacker of A Texas Soldier's Family

This wraps up our Saturday posts this month featuring a delicious Texas BBQ Recipe from great Harlequin authors. You won't want to miss this! Today we are featuring a delicious recipe that would go perfectly with the ribs recipe we featured last week, and okra the week before! And who doesn't love a good coleslaw recipe!? Grab your fixin's, this sizzling cowboy romance, and enjoy! 



Texas Coleslaw
A recipe of the author's favorite cowboy-barbecue dish for summer nights!

  • 1 bag 16 oz. coleslaw mix
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 medium Granny Smith Apple, diced

  1. Whisk together mayonnaise, sugar, and lime juice in small bowl.  Add coleslaw mix and apple, and combine well.  Chill and serve.

This is the perfect side-dish for smoked brisket, sausage and or ribs!
