A strange sickness infects a handful of gargoyles in Terra Haven, rendering them comatose and paralyzed. Worse, the cure she seeks is shrouded in the gargoyle's mysterious culture and the secret they guard with their lives.
Gaining the gargoyle's trust is only the first step. To save the sick gargoyles, Mika must embark on a perilous mission into the heart of deadly wild magic to a place no human has ever survived...
The captivating conclusion to the Gargoyle Guardian Chronicles trilogy, Secret of the Gargoyles will charm readers of all ages, especially those who love extraordinary magic and endearing gargoyles.

Lexi's Thoughts:
The blurb says Secret of the Gargoyles is the end but when you reach that last page you will be praying that Chastain will pick up where she leaves Mika, Marcus, and Oliver.
Book three explains where gargoyles come from and more in depth on how they fit into this magical world Mika lives in. This alone makes the book very rewarding to read but the way that Chastain describes the gargoyle’s home is a dazzling cherry on top.

Like book two, Secret of the Gargoyles picks up right after the previous one. Mika is still working on healing and bringing the dormant gargoyles in the park. The large gargoyle that helped her with the park was about to be consumed is back and she finally breaks her silence and tells Mika and Oliver how to heal the frozen ones.

Gargoyle homes are the source of their magic and one was damaged. To save the dormant gargoyles Mika must go to a very dangerous place and fix the broken home. She knows she will need help and goes to find the FPD members. The only one in town is Marcus because…he was waiting for her to have time for him. Romance!

To sum up, they journey to the dormant gargoyle’s home. There’s humor along the way, surprises, and Mika’s limits are broken. Chastain ends the book very well. It is a romance after all and we can’t end a trilogy without a happy ending. *dreamy sigh*

Now, please, please, please Rebecca write another trilogy for Mika!
