Missie’s Thoughts & Description:
This is an adult PNR and I believe one of THE best I have read with ghosts in it, in a long time. However, don't start thinking this is straight out erotica. This is definitely a romance novel. The steam factor is 3 out of 5, with Kipp and Tess eventually finding interesting and creative ways to pleasure each other, with creative being key here when physical touch is an impossibility. But the way they start falling in love with each other first will honestly tear your heart out. The cover of this book is gorgeous and is only a hint of the wonderful novel inside.
From the first page I was hooked on Supernaturally kissed. Stacey Kennedy immerses you in a story line that is so believable; you will be quickly pulled into the story line, not wanting to set it down.
Tess Jennings was in a tragic accident when she young. She lost both her parents and almost died herself. Coming so close to death's door unlocked a gift within her. Tess could see and talk to the dead. However she does not see this ability as a gift but a curse. She only wants to be normal, just like everyone else. It’s hard to keep a relationship when they see you talking to yourself and start thinking that you’re off your rocker. So she does her best to ignore the ghosts she comes in contact with, and eventually they leave her alone.
Kipp McGowen, a handsome cop with the Memphis Police Department was shot two days ago and has been trying to get someone to listen to him. He is desperately trying to tell someone about a cold case he was working on. The information he has is what got him killed. His partner could be in danger because he knows another cop is the killer, he just doesn't know who. Kipp is walking down the street and see's a beautiful woman coming towards him. Her eyes reach his, however she quickly passes him by. As the sexy as sin Kipp tries to talk to Tess, she continues to ignore him. He knows she can hear him and can’t figure out why she won’t acknowledge his presents.
Tess is doing her best to try and ignore Kipp. She is hoping that he will just go away like the others. However he will not give up. Tess decides to go on a double date with her best friend. They go to a bar and guess who tags along? As the night gets started Kipp soon realizes that when he says something dirty out loud Tess starts to blush but continues to ignore him. So that’s how he starts the communication lines going two ways. He starts out tell her how sexy she is and how she could do better than the date that she has. Soon he begins to lay on the charm by describing in great detail what he would like to do to her body. This sends Tess running home and Kipp right on her heels. She finally starts talking to him and agrees to help him, so he can pass on. But the heat that has been started continues to grow as she tries to convince his partner that she can see and hear Kipp and piece together the puzzle of his death while putting them all in danger.
This is a great work of fiction. The story consumes you and takes you on a thrill ride. You will cry at the loneliness they feel, be turned on by the heat they generate and be scared to death as they come closer to the truth and put all the pieces of this mystery together. I love it without a doubt and I believe you will to, if you’re a fan of this type of novel. It will not disappoint.
Rating: 5 Wine Glasses
Well written, it is nice to find a book that makes you feel the same emotions the characters are experiencing.
