Kiss of Death Tour: Cindy Gerard of Last Man Standing (Guest Post/Giveaway)

I am excited to be hosting a stop in the Kiss of Death tour with author Cindy Gerard today, please give her a warm welcome!

Top Ten Reasons Why Romantic Suspense is the Best Genre Ever
By Cindy Gerard

10.  If called upon, romantic suspense heroes (and heroines) can kick Vampire’s butts any day of the week.

9.    Page turning action.

8.    Toe curling romance.

7.    Transports readers to exotic locations.

6.    The suspense really won’t kill you – but it will get your heart racing.

5.    Kick butt heroes and heroines.

4.    Hot, hunky heroes with heart, soul, integrity and the intelligence to be a perfect match for the heroine.

3.    Tests your mental acuity – can you guess who done it?  Or who is going to do it? Or IF the hero will save the heroine on time?  Or, if the heroine will save the hero on time?

2.    No one drinks anyone else’s blood.

And the number 1 reason Romantic Suspense is the best genre ever:

The best writers in the business call romantic suspense home.

In addition to numerous industry awards, among them RT’s Reviewer’s Choice award for best Romantic Intrigue and two Reader’s Crowns for best Romantic Suspense, New York Times best-selling author Cindy Gerard is also a five-time Daphne finalist, a six-time Romance Writers of America Rita finalist and a two-time RITA winner.

Cindy is one of the many talented authors who belong to the Romance Writers of America’s Kiss of Death chapter. At Kiss of Death we believe that every great romance should include suspense. Whether a spy thriller in Regency times, a paranormal romance with a revenge-seeking zombie, or a traditional serial killer after the heroine, romance relies on suspense, leading the reader through the trials of the heroine and hero to see if they will get their happily ever after ending. If you can call your writing suspenseful, then the Kiss of Death has something for you! Find out more and join at http://www.rwamysterysuspense.org and follow us on Twitter at @RWAKissofDeath.

  5. The best thing about Suspense is the Unknown....the not knowing what is coming next. And of course the Sizzling Chemistry between the Hero and Heroine that is hightened by the intense situation!

  10. Thanks for a fantastic post! I agree w/ all your points! But I love RS b/c of the danger. The romance seems sharper and more meaningful b/c they don't know if they'll live to see tomorrow! And you're right, the heros/heroines are better in RS b/c they have to succeed on their wits and skills alone not superpowers :)

  20. Well aside from the romance which is just stellar I like the mystery of who doing what to everyone. Gets the blood and brain flowing to figure it out before the ending.
