18 & Over Book Blogger Follow

18 & Over Book Blogger Follow is a weekly feature hosted by Crystal from Reading Between the Wines and Kelly at Secrets of a Book Lover. It is a Friday blog hop with the objective to find and visit other book blogs that share the same interest as you, namely books geared towards the 18 & over crowd, and make some new friends along the way!

How to join:

  • You should run a book blog that features and reviews mostly adult reads, some Y.A.’s are okay but 18 & over adult reads should be your majority.
  • Make a separate post for the 18 & Over Book Blogger Follow on your blog.
  • Copy the html for the button above and place it at the top of your post.
  • List & answer the ‘Question of the Week.’
  • Place your name and blog title in the linky below and the url for a direct link to your post
  • Visit the other blogs on the list and make sure to leave a comment so the blog owner knows you stopped by and can return the favor. If you like what you see why not follow? It’s always nice to spread the 18 & Over Book Blog love! Following each blog is not mandatory but I know it is always appreciated, and if someone comments saying they’re a new follower it’s polite to follow back. J
  • Contact me (readingbetweenthewines10 at gmail dot com) or Kelly (secretsofabooklover at gmail dot com) with any questions!

Question of the week:

Have you ever read a book that just had too much sex in it?

Yes, and the main reason being is because a lot of it was emotionless sex. I like to connect with the characters so that I can feel the tension, need and urgency along with them and when there aren't emotions involved, I can't. So, I ended up skimming a lot. Shocking, I know! lol I'm probably in the minority here with this one. =D

While you're here don't forget to sign-up for the 18 & Over Book Blogger Giveaway Hop! Sign-ups close on the 30th!

  1. Hey! I joined in this week for the first time! I put my link in the linky thing, but I can't see the list... Anyhow, I'm the same way, I like sex, but there needs to be some point to it... anyhow, my post is up Book Savvy Babe

  3. Yeah, I dunno what's up with the linky. It's acting funny so if you can't get it to add your link just leave a link to your post with your comment and I will add it. Thanks & sorry about that! =)

  4. You're not alone...and how can I link up? It keeps saying that I need 'htt://&#39 but when I do that it says it's too long.

  5. Oh mine is at

    Lydia @ Sensual Ride

  6. I didn't have any problems with the link. But I have to agree with you on the question. There really is such a thing as too much.

  7. Hey girlie! I'll be emailing you today (hopefully). Have a great weekend!

  8. I joined this week - loving this tag along!

I agree, a good erotic book needs to have some plot as well as hot love!

  9. I need story with my sex . . . love and emotion is good, and definitely creates a connection, but I want it all wrapped in a story.

    Sally @ Bibrary Book Lust

  10. I agree with you. I need to connect with the character and feel the sex is there for some reason. I hate when it's just a page filler.
