What fun is life without a little bit of trouble?

Retired supermodel and forever wild child Olivia Sweet is nothing but trouble. The youngest Sweet triplet is back in her hometown, but instead of a triumphant return it’s a parade of humiliations. She’s broke, homeless and dealing with the fallout from her scumbag ex-boyfriend publishing naked pictures of her to a revenge porn website.

Staid and stalwart veteran Mateo Garcia has seen more trouble than a man ever should in his lifetime. He’s gone from pretty boy Marine to a small town police chief with a chip on his shoulder and scars covering the left side of his face. Now his former lover, Olivia, is back in town and living next door.

When the two are forced to work together to fix up the crumbling veterans’ center, the sparks fly between the beauty and the man who sees himself as a beast. Not everyone is happy that Olivia is back home though and Mateo has to choose between the town who wants her gone and an uncertain future with a woman who he thinks could never love him…

Linda's Thoughts:
"So invite me in."
Now that way lay trouble. "What are you, a vampire that needs an invitation?"
"Worse. I'm a Sweet."

TROUBLE ON TAP by Avery Flynn was a wonderful finale to the author's Sweet Salvation Brewery series! Even though it's the third book in the series, it could be enjoyed as a standalone if that is your preference. However, if you do that, you'd miss out on the two highly entertaining preceding books featuring the other two Sweet sisters. TROUBLE ON TAP is the story of the third Sweet sister, free spirited Olivia Sweet, and troubled ex-Marine Mateo Garcia.

I loved both the hero and the heroine. It's a second chance at love for them. They shared a past, but would they have a future? Their story reminded me of a modern day retelling of The Beauty and The Beast. Olivia was sexy and beautiful. She was an ex-Victoria Secret runway model and attracted trouble like sugar attracts flies. She was most definitely the wild child of the triplets and her shenanigans drove Mateo crazy.

Mateo was the smokin' hot male lead. He's a permanently scarred and troubled ex-Marine who was nicknamed the Casanova of Salvation before he encountered the roadside bomb that took out his buddies and left him disfigured with a huge chip on his shoulder. Now he's the police chief in Salvation, a virtual hermit when he's off work, and not happy in the least that Olivia Sweet is back to distract him to no end and remind him of what he used to be.

Olivia and Mateo were each strong yet vulnerable. Their chemistry was of the intensely hot, set-your-sheets on fire kind. Their dynamics were enhanced by two darling non-human supporting characters - a three-legged cat and a nameless dog who both tugged at my heartstrings.

All the books have taken place in the small town of Salvation, Virginia and fans of the series know all about the Kitchen Sink Diner there with Ruby Sue's famous pecan pie on the menu. This book discloses the secret ingredient of that pie! I'm not giving it away - you'll have to read this book to find out what makes that pie rock! BUT, if you want to make your pecan pies the talk of your town, you need to pick up this book!

Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from this hot-hot-hot read:

She had Jessica Rabbit's curves and full lips that made him wish he was a tube of Chap Stick.
---

His gaze dropped down to the deep V of her cherry-red top and the pulse in his temple pulsed. For a second she didn't think he was going to say anything, which was good because she'd just forgotten her own name. His focus inched northward across her generous cleavage, up her neck and to her lips -- leaving a heated trail across her skin without ever making a move. The last dry spot on her panties surrendered.
---

Thank God he wasn't in full uniform or her panties might have melted.
Who was she kidding? The strap of silk covering the good china was already toast just looking at him in his form-fitting jeans and a black polo with the Salvation Police Department logo.
---

"Maybe it's time to stop punishing yourself for past sins."
He wished it was that easy, but it wasn't. So if he was already this deep in, what was one more transgression? Snagging the hem of her tank top between two fingers, he tugged it taut. "I suppose you think you're the woman to show me the way?"
Leaning in close, she whispered into his good ear, "No one knows more about sinning than a Sweet."

I lapped up this well-paced conclusion of the Sweet Salvation Brewery series. I've been a fan of the series from the get-go and am thrilled to report that the epilogue was perfection. It brought together all the triplets and tied their stories up neatly with a tidy, beautiful bow. Just thinking about it now still makes me smile! If you love fun, sweet and hot, small town romances, I highly recommend that you delve into Avery Flynn's Sweet Salvation Brewery series. Each of the books has been a treat!
