"A cop's craving to know more about the woman next door could prove fatal in the steamy new novel from New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster"
As the person responsible for taking down a brutal human trafficker, Alice Appleton fears retaliation at every turn. No one knows about her past, which is exactly how she prefers it...until the sexy cop next door comes knocking.
Detective Reese Bareden thinks he knows what makes women tick, but his ever-elusive neighbor keeps him guessing like no other. Is his goal to unmask Alice's secrets? Or protect her from a dangerous new threat? One thing is certain: their chemistry is a time bomb waiting to explode. And with no one to trust but each other, Reese and Alice are soon drawn into a deadly maze of corruption, intrigue and desire-and into the line of fire....

Crystal L's Thoughts:

An author that ALWAYS delivers an awesome read (at least for me) is Lori Foster. I've read most of her books. And Bare It All, the second book in her Love Undercover Series, was no exception. In the first book of this series we were given a glimpse of the quiet and wary Alice. Alice actually comes from Foster's previous series, Men Who Walk The Edge Of Honor, where in the book Trace of Fever she is rescued from being held hostage by one of the men behind a sex slave ring. Since her rescue she is trying to move on with her life, but failing to completely fall back into any kind of semblance of peace she had before her ordeal. She is, more or less, coping with her new view of the world in where she sees danger lurking around every other corner. On one hand, the fact that she is coping with it all is fantastic. On the other, she's failing to reconnect with people who matter, such as her family.

Along comes Detective Reese Bareden and his puppy in the previous book, Run The Risk. While Alice is cautious around Reese at first, the puppy melts her heart. So when Reese asks if she would help keep an eye on the rambunctious pup while he's working, Alice happily agrees. Bare It All picks up on this unfinished thread in Run The Risk. We continue with their odd co-parenting puppy situation. Reese however is looking for more than a puppy sitting arrangement. He wants the mysterious Alice.

With action, humor and suspense, Bare It All was an extremely enjoyable page turner for me! The chemistry is sizzling between Reese and Alice, and if you're a fan of this series, you get to see familiar characters such as Pepper, Logan and the smoking hot Rowdy. (I'm the redhead you need Rowdy! Call me you bad, bad boy!) 4 Wine Glass toast and a serious recommendation for you to pick up this series!
