Book Description : Goodreads
Sexy, powerful, and immortal, Limos is on a crash course with destiny. She’s been marked as Satan’s bride and her jealous fiancé wants her all to himself. The only way this Horseman can keep herself—and everyone else—safe is to keep her distance. But not even Limos can save herself from the secrets she’s kept . . . or resist the seductive allure of one very brave human.
Arik Wagner knows the saying “love hurts” better than most, yet he never thought stealing a kiss from Limos would land him in Hell. Literally. It takes all his military training to survive the demon torture, but once he’s topside, Arik realizes that the agony has just begun. With the Apocalypse looming and Satan demanding his bride, will Arik and Limos surrender to the desire smoldering between them? Or will giving in to their passion unleash hell on earth?

Missie’s Thoughts & Description:

This is an Adult PNR with a Steam rating of 3 out of 5.  I loved how Larissa Ione explained the sexual frustration of Limo's and absolutely brought me along for a thrilling read. This novel is the second book in the Lords of Deliverance series and even though I believe it can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the first book Eternal Rider, which is in my opinion a must read for any PNR fan.  It is also a spinoff of her popular PNR Demonica series.

Plot:
This is Limo's story and it continues the heart stopping drama of book 1 of this series.

There are 4 horsemen of the apocalypse and they include 4 siblings (3 brothers; Ares-War, Reseph-Pestilence & Thantos-Death, 1 sister Limos-Famine). Long story short, because of the need for revenge over their families being destroyed by demons they rage war with the help of humans against demons til the earth is poisoned. A Zachariel, an angel of the apocalypse makes a deal with the devil and the 4 siblings are forever cursed and are now the keepers of Armageddon. Each are given a Seal and a prophecy. If they protect their seals from breaking til the Bible prophecy came to pass, they would save mankind & their souls.  But if broken they would turn evil  and be forever know as and be the bringers of Pestilence, War, Famine & Death.

The action and romance of this novel is amazing.  It grips you from the start and you have to hang on for this great read.  The story itself sounds farfetched at first, but after you begin reading the wonderful world that Larissa Ione has written, it ties so well into the Biblical Armageddon we all have heard about most of our lives, that it creates those goose bumps on the back of your neck and you wonder if it isn't actually happening, especially when you watch the evening news.

Limo's story takes you through all the emotions a good book should take you on; Love, Hate, Betrayal, Passion and even Fear.  There is plenty of drama with the secret that she has been keeping from her brothers all these years. Its eating her up inside and all the mistakes she makes trying to keep those secrets may cost her not only her brothers but the love of her lifetime, Arik.

Limo's is a strong, kick butt heroine who can kill a demon with ease and yet be a gentle loving and caring woman.  I believe her story is a PNR must read and I highly recommend it.

  1. I loved the first one and I have this one sitting on my nightstand. Too bad I keep finding more books to read or library books I quickly read in order to return them in time. sigh... Just not enough time to read all the good books out there.

Great Summery of book and what you thought.
