Catalyst
(Flashpoint #2)
by Rachel Grant

Catalyst is hot and steamy, but also sweet and caring. It’s a romantic thriller on steroids, and an eye-opening lesson on social responsibilities, status and consequences. It’s fast-paced and action-packed. The ending is warmly satisfying as far as the main characters’ futures, but, as the author notes, the future for the Sudanese region is not rosy. Awareness that we can make a difference is a first step in making change happen. Rachel brings this cognizance to the forefront in a highly entertaining format and I applaud her for doing so. If you enjoy riveting edge-of-your-seat romantic suspense set in exotic locales with excellently-plotted intricate storylines, I’d highly encourage you to check out Catalyst!

A Court of Wings & Ruin
(A Court of Thorns and Roses #3)
by Sarah J. Maas

Breath-taking, brilliant and enthralling. This is how a series should end. But, even more awesome, while Rhys’ and Feyre’s story has come to a warmly satisfying conclusion, Sarah will be continuing the series with a bridge novella releasing in 2018.

Dangerously Divine
(Broken Riders #2)
by Deborah Blake

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every Baba Yaga book and the first Rider book, but Dangerously Divine is my favorite of them all with wonderful characters, steamy times, action and danger galore, laugh-out loud moments and unexpected twists at every turn. I can’t wait to return to Barbara’s Baba Yaga/Rider world with Alexei’s story. It will be Deborah’s final Rider book. I fervently hope that that it won’t be the final book written in Deborah’s Baba Yagas' universe!

The Devil’s Assistant Series
by H.D. Smith

H.D. Smith has written a fascinating, complex and unique who-done-it paranormal urban fantasy. I pretty much loved everything about it. If you enjoy dark urban fantasies with a strong central female protagonist and plenty of plot twists, don’t miss this series! If you are an audiophile, I’d highly recommend that you listen to it in audio! Lauren Fortgang’s performance positively enhanced my enjoyment of this series as she brought the story to life.

Must Love Chainmail
(Must Love #3)
by Angela Quarles

MUST LOVE KILTS by Angela Quarles is the fabulous third book in her Must Love Time Travel series. It can easily be read as a stand alone, but, unequivocally, there is no way you will be able to stop at just one! Angela’s books are extremely addictive! In this series, her heroines embark on trips through time to find their one true love no matter where in history they may be and, along the way, readers are treated to a highly entertaining, fun and sexy heck of an escape! This installment features a computer game designer who travels back to 1689 Scotland to prove that hot guys in kilts are a myth. Let’s just say that she loses the bet – big time! I have listened to this entire series-to-date which has been fantastically voiced by Mary Jane Wells. Months after finishing this enthralling audio, I still get the warm fuzzies when I think about it.

Resurrection
(Redemption Harbor #1)
by Katie Reus

The tidings of a new series from Katie Reus is exciting news indeed! Resurrection by Katie Reus marks the impressive debut of Katie’s new Redemption Harbor romantic suspense series. As all of Katie’s stories do, Resurrection drew me in from the start. I am addicted to Katie’s books. Resurrection is hair-raising and packed with passion and danger from the start to the finish. The romance and the suspense are heart and soul intertwined – one never overshadows the other. The surprising twist at the end left me appreciating karma and grinning like a Cheshire cat.

The Sea King
(Weathermages of Mystral #2)
by C.L. Wilson
The Sea King is another magnificent epic romantic fantasy by the fantastically talented C.L. Wilson. Seriously, The Sea King is over 600 pages and I didn’t want to sleep or eat until I’d read every single word. I loved the compelling characters, the vivid imagery, the stunning settings, the on-pointe pacing, the fantastic plot… I loved it all! The book is a page turner from the first word to the last.

Spellbinder
(Moonshadow #2)
by Thea Harrison
Spellbinder by Thea Harrison is the second amazing installment in Thea’s creative paranormal urban fantasy Moonshadow series. This series is a spin-off from her Elder Races series set in the same remarkable world. I’ve been a fan of Thea’s since 2011 when she published her first Elder Races novel, Dragon Bound. I have inhaled every single installment in that series and it was a given that I would jump on board with her new Moonshadow series. I honestly didn’t think anything could top Dragon Bound, but, incredibly, Spellbinder does just that! It is exhilarating, addictive, gripping, romantically delicious, magical perfection!

Sugared
(Misfit Brides of Bliss #4)
by Jamie Farrell
Sugared is the fourth installment in Jamie Farrell’s pure- lighthearted- fun Misfit Brides series set in the fictional small town of Bliss, Illinois. Bliss is the reigning bridal capital of the Midwest located near Chicago. I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every book in this series, but Sugared, without a doubt, ranks as my bestie so far. It is Kimmie Elias’ and Josh Kincaid’s story and is a hysterical laugh-a-minute. Truthfully, I’ve been excited for Kimmie’s story ever since she was first introduced in the initial book and, happily, Sugared did not disappoint in any way! I listened to Sugared. Karen White positively nails the narration - even of the cats! I love to read, but if I see that Karen has narrated a book, I will pick up the audio every single time because Karen’s performances consistently enhance the stories she voices.

The Thing about Love
(FBI/US Attorney Series Book 7)
by Julie James
GOODREADS | AMAZON | REVIEW

The Thing About Love stars two FBI agents in a sweet, funny, light-hearted, believable, seductive, well-written done-right story line . It’s an enemies-to-lovers trope tale and it’s hot… and sexy… and funny… and, well, just gloriously perfect! Even though this is the seventh book in the author’s FBI/US Attorney series, this installment - like the other books in this series - works entirely well as a stand alone, if that is your preference.
