As the last Pack member without a mate, Luke Reynolds has become an outsider. When he takes a job as the head horse trainer Sedona, Arizona, he’s looking forward to starting a new life. But everything changes the night he finds beautiful woman stranded on the side of the highway.

Raven Wood has been bitten and turned against her will. Luckily, her spirit is stronger than most, and she has every intention of escaping the Sedona Pack. Somehow. The sexy lone wolf who rescues her might be just the answer she’s looking for.

But the Sedona Pack Alpha has a mission, and unless Luke and Raven can stop him, they’ll lose everything.

Linda's Thoughts:
“There is no one in the world I would rather be stuck with in this snake pit of a Pack than you.”

Another smile crept up on me as I leaned in. “You really know how to sweep a girl off her feet.”

His lips curved as he came closer, stealing my breath. “You’re the only girl I care to sweep.”

“Lucky me…” My words faded as his mouth met mine.

Lisa Kessler’s Moon series fans have waited a long time for Luke's story. The great news is that it’s finally here and it’s well worth the wait! Wolf Moon is romantic, suspenseful, action-packed, fast-paced, and utterly yummilicious.  It is the story of two wolf shifters: Luke Reynolds and Raven Wood.

While Wolf Moon is the seventh book in Lisa’s awesome Moon series, Wolf Moon can be easily read as a stand-alone, if that is your preference. The romantic relationship and the development of the danger plot are fully contained within this novel. Just know that there are interconnected characters and an underlying threat that has built up throughout the series.

Luke is the last of his pack without a mate.  As the story opens, Luke has taken a position as the lead horse trainer at Valley Farms in the Sedona area. Since his alpha is the lead horse trainer at his pack’s ranch, Luke felt that he needed to go elsewhere to advance his career. He still misses his pack back in Reno, Nevada – but it was difficult for him to be the odd man out in the Pack. While driving back to Sedona one evening, Luke stops to help a woman whose van has broken down and his life takes on new meaning.

Meanwhile, Raven is living a nightmare. She belongs to the Sedona Pack which is autocratically run by an evil alpha, Allen Caldwell. Caldwell is a control freak and is shockingly expanding his pack by changing humans without their permission. Caldwell is also in cahoots with the nefarious Nero Organization. Caldwell has ‘mated’ Raven with two wolf shifter brothers. While attempting to escape, her van breaks down just outside Sedona. Not long afterwards, a tall man in a Mustang stops to help. It doesn’t take long for Raven to discover he’s a wolf shifter; he doesn’t belong to her pack and is in mortal danger from the Sedona Pack; and his twin brother is rock star Logan of the Howlers. She’s a huge fan of their songs!

Luke was born a wolf; Raven was bitten and turned against her will. Both Luke and Raven were great characters with steamy chemistry. Could there be an HEA in the cards for them? It’s certainly not going to be easy.

Most of this story takes place around Sedona, Arizona. Lisa describes the vortex: “You can see the entire galaxy up there. More stars than you ever knew existed.” I've never been to Sedona, but reading this makes me want to go! I had many favorite scenes, but, when I think back over the scenes I swooned over, I see the couple on a mountaintop viewing the vortex and engaging in other extremely pleasurable activities.

Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from Wolf Moon:

“For the record…” I took her hand and held it up. “These are the only hands I want on me.”
---

“Do they send all of you jaguars through some elitist asshole training course?”
---

“Everything okay?”

“I’m not sure, but it’s not shittier, so that’s something.”

She laughed. “Still an optimist.”
---

“You taste better than bacon.”

WooHoo! The next book in this series will be New Moon - #8 in the series. It will be Sebastian's story - and the series finale! I'm excited, but also sad to see the series ending.

Lisa is one of my favorite authors. Her books are all must-reads for me. I’ve literally inhaled everything she’s published. I truly believe that she spins magic into her writing as her books are, without exception, addictive pleasures. Luke and Raven’s story is a roller coaster ride with a multitude of thrilling hairpin turns and steep curves! It’s teeming with danger and delightfully titillating romance. Wolf Moon is an exciting addition to Lisa’s highly entertaining Moon series and I highly recommend it to fans of paranormal urban fantasy romance.
