Forged by Fate by Reese Monroe (Guest Post/Giveaway)

Today we would like to welcome author, Reese Monroe, to the blog. Reese is joining us with her recent paranormal new adult release, FORGED BY FATE. Enjoy!

I love all things paranormal. Angels, demons, vampires, werewolves…you name it. Probably the most frequently asked question I get besides what inspired a specific story is… “Why New Adult paranormal?”

I’ll start with the paranormal part first. It’s pretty easy for me to break down the why, at least in my crazy mind. I figure I get enough normal every day in life, so I want to get lost in the not so normal.

Whether I’m reading a book or writing my own, I love escaping reality, going places where things beyond comprehension happen on a regular basis.

What I love about the New Adult category is that it bridges the gap between Young Adult and Adult. While I like both of the other categories, I just love when people are facing new problems. For example, New Adult usually consists of characters who are dealing with adult issues for the first time!

Just think of New Adult with this frame of mind: “Okay, now what?”

That is so fun to write because it can mean so many different things. Then complicating that already complicated space of time with supernatural abilities, worlds, and situations…Total Rush!!

With Forged by Fate, I loved rolling the college aspect of young genius, Sadie Nowland, in with the totally against logic of fated Mates, mystical beings, and unexplainable events. Graduating college by age eighteen, then meeting up with a 911 year old Gatekeeper to Hades who’s claiming she’s his Mate doesn’t compute with this scientifically minded person, but it was a fun story to write to see how it all unfolded.

What do you guys like about New Adult Paranormal? What are your favorite paranormal creatures?
