The Darkest Surrender (Lords of the Underworld, #8)

Lords of the Underworld bk#8

by Gena Showalter
October 2011

The Lords of the Underworld return in this enthralling tale of an immortal warrior determined to win and the beautiful seductress he can’t resist.
Possessed by the demon of Defeat, Strider cannot lose a challenge without suffering unimaginable pain. For him, nothing stands in the way of victory. Until Kaia, an enchanting Harpy, tempts him to the razor’s edge of surrender.
Known among her people as The Disappointment, Kaia must bring home the gold in the Harpy Games or die. Strider is a distraction she can’t afford because he as an agenda of his own – steal first prize, an ancient godly artifact, before the winner can be named. But as the competition heats up, only one prize will matter – the love neither had thought possible…

I just want to lick the screen. Can we skip Amun and go straight to Strider? Ooo...and then Paris is next after that. *licks lips* I cannot wait!!! Can you imagine what his cover is going to look like!
Gena always has amazing covers and The Darkest Surrender is no exception. Hmmm...I wonder how much the hubs would object to be blowing this up and hanging it in our bedroom....

  1. OMG I love this Crystal! I just started the Lords of the Underworld series and I fell in LOVE with it. I had the book for quite some times and didn't know I would like it since it wasn't about vampires (yes I'm a vampire freak) but finally read the prequel and then Book 1 and fell in love with the series. OMG I LOVED MADDOX!

Anyways i want to read the rest of the series but have so many books now in both paperback and ebook that I will have to work through the pile. That's ok I think because by the time I finish all the books Paris' book will be out and I will not have to wait! I wanted to read about Paris' book right after Maddox's. Strange she waited so long to give us Paris.

Oh about the cover and blowing it up. Just tell the husband if you can blow it up and put it on the ceiling of your bedroom that he will thank you tenfolds for the results. ;)

  4. LoL, I doubt he would see it that way Ollie. Men... I might have to slip the book in bed with us though!
I love Maddox too, you need to read the rest though! They are all fab.

Kristin, you just like Amun because he doesn't talk! Heh, maybe that's not such a bad thing though! LoL A William book would be awesome, even a short in an anthology. Didn't she say something about that somewhere?

I wonder how we could get a hold of those State Farm guys, we need their secret! LoL We could switch them out every week!

  5. I just posted this too. Definitely drool worthy cover. I think this is the best one yet. I'd like to take my tongue and trace the marking on his abs!

I'm so excited about Paris being after Strider. I can't wait for his story.
