We have the pleasure of having Mia Henry stop by today with her new adult romance that I've just added to my to-be-read list, SWEET NOTHING!
I love first dates. Good ones, anyway. Is there anything better than the tension between two people on the verge of knowing each other? There’s so much possibility. Something so sexy about the unknown.
I had an amazing time writing Elle and Luke’s story. There are scenes that I love because of the tension, scenes that were fun to write because of the mystery woven through the story, and scenes that were just. Plain. Hot. But one of my favorite scenes to write in this book was the scene where Elle and Luke go snorkeling on their first date. I love a man who takes charge—so it was fun to write Luke’s confidence and his desire for Elle in this scene. He knows what he wants, and he knows how to get it. And I loved writing Elle’s response here—she’s afraid to get too close, but her connection to Luke is too strong for her to pull away.
I hope you love reading this scene as much as I loved writing it. Let’s face it—who doesn’t have fun with a scene where two characters get half-naked and totally wet?
