She could save the world—or destroy it.

Sixteen-year-old Evangeline "Evie" Greene leads a charmed life, until she begins experiencing horrifying hallucinations. When an apocalyptic event decimates her Louisiana hometown, Evie realizes her hallucinations were actually visions of the future—and they're still happening. Fighting for her life and desperate for answers, she must turn to her wrong-side-of-the-bayou classmate: Jack Deveaux.

But she can't do either alone.

With his mile-long rap sheet, wicked grin, and bad attitude, Jack is like no boy Evie has ever known. Even though he once scorned her and everything she represented, he agrees to protect Evie on her quest. She knows she can't totally depend on Jack. If he ever cast that wicked grin her way, could she possibly resist him?

Who can Evie trust?

As Jack and Evie race to find the source of her visions, they meet others who have gotten the same call. An ancient prophesy is being played out, and Evie is not the only one with special powers. A group of twenty-two teens has been chosen to reenact the ultimate battle between good and evil. But it's not always clear who is on which side.

Crystal's Thoughts:

Fans of Kresley Cole need to pick up this book! Even if you aren't a fan of YA, Poison Princess still encompasses everything that you love in KC's writing. Unique and imaginative world building, heart twisting romantic tension, addictive plot lines, and a story that will keep you up into the wee hours of the morning. By the end of Poison Princess I was left on tender hooks for more!

Evangeline "Evie" Greene was just a normal teenage girl, blessed with a stable home, a dancer and cheerleader, and dating the school's star football player. Until, that is, she starts having visions and is sent away to a mental facility over the summer. At the return of school, she thinks she is cured and looks forward to reconnecting with her friends and boyfriend. But then the visions of a riddle-speaking boy, a dark and dangerous knight, an evil red witch, and animate plants return. To top it off, a new student from the wrong side of the bayou is determined to puzzle out her secrets. And then...the world as she knows it is turned upside down. Living in a post apocalyptic world it's every man for himself, and Evie must grow up quickly if she hopes to survive. With a vow of protection from her new classmate, Jack Deveaux, they journey to find Evie's grandmother and the answers she so desperately seeks. An ancient battle is revealed and the lines between good and bad blur, can Evie garner the assets and alliances that she needs to make it to the end?

Poison Princess was a rush and I cannot wait to find out what is in store for Evie and her little band next!
