Kathryne Kennedy's Interview & #Giveaway for Everlasting Enchantment!

Christmas time makes me believe in magic. And not necessarily just Santa. Must be something in the air that makes us believe the impossible. Our guest today has a new release full of the sparkly stuff.
So let’s welcome Kathryne Kennedy!

Lexi: Congrats Kathryne! You have a new release in your Relics of Merlin series! Everlasting Enchantment is a fun paranormal romance full of magical elements. Especially for the hero, Gareth, who has been trapped in a bracelet for centuries. Did you let your mind wander into maddening territory imagining what it would be like to be trapped somewhere?

Kathryne: Thank you, Lexi! I’m happy to be here with you today. To answer your question, Gareth is let out every evening, where he gets to seduce many a woman. So I didn’t think his situation would be too maddening for him. :}

Lexi: Throughout your books, I have enjoyed your various worlds, but it is the overarching themes that I love the most. If you had to pick a favorite theme for the Relics of Merlin series what would it be and why did you pick it?

Kathryne: Probably “Love is even stronger than magic.” Because no matter how fantastical the world, love is always a reality that can overcome all odds.

Lexi: A pretty loaded question I know, we will take it easier on you from here on out. Everlasting Enchantment would make a wonderful Christmas present for many of us bookworms. How about you, do you have your Christmas shopping done yet Kathryne?

Kathryne: I just finished it up. I usually have it done early…I love Christmas so much, I start planning for it in late September, early October. Makes it seem like it lasts longer.

Lexi: Maybe Precious and Baggins will feel like they are in doggy heaven if you let them sneak some Christmas dinner scraps. I love giving my dog hunks of turkey or roast bones, makes me happy to see him so happy. And in that thinking of making others happy, if you had to pick a Christmas gift for Gareth what would you pick?

Kathryne: Ah, before I answer your question, I have some sad news. I lost my darling Precious to a breathing condition brought about by old age. She died in my arms, and it about broke my heart. I then found a rescue puppy who needed a good home…I felt it made Precious’s existence matter, somehow. I named the little Chihuahua mix Pikachu. Then I had a moment of insanity and walked into a puppy store (I know better than to go in one)…and walked out with a tiny Yorkie which I named Champagne. Poor Baggins is not happy with me right now, although since Pikachu has a new playmate, it’s been easier on the old girl.
As for Gareth, he would need a curse-lifter, but I’ve already given him Millicent, and I’m sure the two of them will work it out.

Lexi: Sorry to hear of your loss Kathryne. But also happy that you have filled your home with more four footed friends!
You are also very good at coming up with fun and different prizes for the various giveaways you do. Heads up to those of you out there who haven’t followed Kathryne before, go do it! Thanks for stopping by Kathryne! It was fun to hear about Everlasting Enchantment!

Kathryne: Thanks so much, Lexi! And I love to know that my prizes and contests are appreciated. They are one of the ways I let my readers know how much they mean to me.

  11. I like their uniforms. That's about it. I know too many military men and while there are good ones, there are some bad ones too. It is the bad ones that ruin it for me.

  12. So sad to hear about your loss. I would hate for anything to happen to my dachies. I have four of them. Well technically "eight" since one had a liter. One is spoken for...

  13. You asked about military men but this is Kathryne's post so her question was about Christmas treats for my pet. Birch our "minature black panther" housecat will be getting a bag of freeze dried shrimp. He'll do ANYTHING to get that ;-). Thanks so much for the post and I can't wait for this book ~ We've waited a LONG time for it... MERRY CHRISTMAS and thanks for the giveaway!

  15. My furbabies are each getting stockings full of toys and treats. The cats will get a variety of toys they can chase and kill along with tasty freeze dried meat and fish treats. My pup will get some toys and most likely a raw bone (or two) and some gros-to-humans treats like mootubes, duck and chicken feet, and fish skins. :-)

  17. I don't have any pets. I do consider my youngest cousin as the family pet(he's 10) and he got his present from me early.

  19. I don't currently have any fur-babies - if I did, they'd be spoiled rotten at this time of year. Okay, okay - really at **any** time of the year. ~lol~

    I have loved all the books I've read that were written by Kathryne Kennedy, and I'm eagerly looking forward to reading Everlasting Enchantment.

  20. Well, ladies, I am totally confused as to where the comments for the military men come from. Please check which contest you are entering. I wouldn’t want you to win my book of fantasy, when you were hoping for a military one. That said:

    Hello to Debby, erin, Natasha D., and Alyn!

    Hi Raonaid Luckwell! Thank you for the sympathetic words. Pikachu has quite a bit of dachshund in her…I’ve never had one before, but am loving the breed!

    Hi Glittergirl! Wow! You treat your little one well! Precious used to love seafood, I always thought she was more cat than dog. My new puppies seem to be all dog, however. They’ll get chicken and steak for Christmas. :}

    Hi jmcgaugh!

    Hi Glenda! Oooh. I have to admit, chicken feet gave me the willies, but I bet your pets love it! Sounds like we all spoil our babies. :}

    Hi Steph F!

    Hi Chanpreet! Oh, my! The cousin thing cracked me up! Great to hear from you!

    Hi Carol L! Thank you so much for the kind words. Yes, Pikachu keeps me so busy I don’t have time to mourn…although sometimes I see a picture of Precious and still tear up. I’m sure I’ll be better in time. Great to hear you are looking forward to Everlasting Enchantment!

    Hi EMBeR! It’s always such a thrill to see my favorite readers here! Thank you for the kind words, and good luck in the drawing!

    Thank you again for having me here, Lexi! I hope the military men thing gets squared away. :} Good luck to all who enter the contest! I am unable to get back here to reply to any more comments, but you know you can always reach me by commenting on my blog, or sending me an email through my website. Happy Holidays! Kathryne

  21. Whats not hot about a military man. Yum. They are heroes everyday in what they do (same as firemen, police officers, etc.) Absolutely love them.

  22. I guess because they seem so self assured and capable :0)

  23. LOL! I ordered new bones and Kong dental chews for them this past week for Christmas! AND they have a brand new EXPENSIVE chew toy coming their way too... I might even make them some liver cookies on Christmas Eve. Thanks for your post and the giveaways!

  24. I hope it's ok... I answered the question posed in the post... but in the rafflecopter, the question is about military men. Military men are good... but I'd rathe have my furbabies... no offense. :-)))
