While filling her display case in her bakery, the bell over the door sounds and Tessa O’Hara looks up and sees the man of her dreams. Within thirty seconds he asks her out for a beer. Thirty seconds later, she says yes. But after four months of falling in love, she discovers he’s an undercover DEA Agent investigating the possibility she’s involved in her ex-husband’s drug business
Obviously Tess decides this means it’s over.
But DEA Agent Brock Lucas disagrees. A man on a mission who’s really committed to his job, he’s spent years in the underbelly of Denver with the dregs of society. And spending four months with Tess who’s as sweet as her cupcakes, he seriously enjoyed his job. But during Tess’s interrogation, Brock learns the devastating secret Tess is carrying and he’s determined to be the man who helps her heal as well as take her back as she walks on the wild side.
As wild and sweet mix, they face challenge after challenge of family struggling with history and terminal illness. Not to mention, Tess’s ex-husband, the drug lord and Brock’s ex-wife, who has a very big playbook are scheming to tear them apart.
But Brock Lucas has wild in him and once in his past on the trail of vengeance he let that wild loose, making a mistake that he would have no idea years later will put his sweet Tess in the position to pay his penance.

Crystal L's Thoughts:

Book #2 in the Dream Man Series does not disappoint! We meet the unbelievable sweet Tess who has a shit ex-husband that has caused her a load of grief in her life. Unfortunately, this grief is not over. Before the new grief starts though, Tess meets her dream man. He's tall, built like a dream, and has silvery eyes she could lose herself in till the end of her days. He's also the first man she's given the time of day since she left aforementioned shithead ex-husband. Too bad she'll find out after months of slowly falling in love with him that he's an undercover DEA Agent who was sent to check her out because of (yes, let's say it one more time) that shitty ex-husband of hers.

Brock Lucas never imagined he'd fall in love with the woman he was sent to watch. She's sweet, gorgeous, and he's half in love with anything she makes in that little bakery shop of hers. He's desperate to keep his girl after she finds out who he really is, but she's not making it easy on him. Neither is that meddling best friend of hers. On top of that he's still go the investigation on her husband going on, a terminally ill Dad and a bitch of an ex-wife all causing him a heap of problems.

Favorite Quote:
“Now, let’s go back to me bein’ like chocolate that melts in your mouth.”

“That isn’t exactly what I meant,” I told him, his arms went around me and he rolled to his back, taking me with him. Then his hand sifted into my hair, fisted gently and my head came up.

“I would hope not, darlin’, seein’ as every time you take me in your mouth, the last thing I do is melt.”
Boy howdy! That quote should get your motor going! Will Tess forgive Brock? Will Brock be able to keep Tess safe when danger comes around? Want to know the answers peeps? Go buy the dang book and find out! It's worth it, I promise. Brock isn't my favorite dream man in this series, but that didn't stop me from drooling over him after I got over the urge to deck him. I bet you'll drool too! 5 Wine Glass Toast for Wild Man!
