While drinking cosmopolitans, Gwendolyn Kidd meets the man of her dreams. Then she takes him home. Then she wakes up alone. But her fear that she lost her dream man turns into a relationship with a mystery man when, night after night in the dead of night, he comes back for more. Hoping it will blossom into something real, she lets him.
But she doesn’t even know his name.
Gwen’s struggling with the decision to end their crazy non-relationship when her sister-from-hell, Ginger’s best friend pays a visit and warns Gwen that if she and her sister don't get smart, they'll both get d-e-a-d, dead. Gwen has no clue what’s going on but she’s used to Ginger’s antics and decides to lay the problem on her sister’s biker boyfriend's doorstep. Bad choice. She hits the Denver Underground radar with a big, loud ping.
This means Gwen’s Mystery Man, Cabe “Hawk” Delgado has to step in to keep her safe. But when Hawk gets a dose of Gwen in the daylight, he makes the decision that he finally wants real with Gwen. However when Gwen gets a dose of badass, bossy, straight-talker Hawk in the daylight, she decides she’s done.
Thus begins the head-to-head of the Commando vs. Cosmo Girl as Hawk woos Gwen in his own unique way, Gwen survives firebombs, drive-bys, kidnappings, hot pursuits by biker hotties and gorgeous police detectives and discovers the heartbreaking reason why Hawk kept her at arm’s length.
And as all this happens, Gwen finds that her sister’s troubles are serious trouble and she must decide who to keep alive: her sister-from-hell or the man of her dreams.

Crystal L's Thoughts:

When I asked the ever awesome Crystal 1 (the original Crystal of course! I am now copycat Crystal 2...) if she had read Kristen Ashley, I dang near blew a gasket when she told me no. It was hard to wrap my head around the fact that there were readers out there who had not gifted themselves the one-of-a-kind experience of reading the great KA. It's inconceivable I tell you! So, while I work on getting Crystal 1 to join my KA book crack club, I'll be spreading the joy that is Ms. Ashley to all of you lovely readers, as well. And what better timing to have a KA book review marathon since she has a NEW book (Raid) coming out on February 28th? Let's start with my favorite series, The Dream Man Series. Oh, and I DO dream about these men...

In this book we meet the 'Great MM', or otherwise known as 'Mystery Man'. Gwen Kidd has been a naughty girl by letting the Great MM slip in and out of her bed at night for a year and a half now. She doesn't even know his name! What she does know is that when she first caught sight of him in the bar her friend was working at, it was love and lust at first sight. Too bad she'd had a few cosmos too many and forget to ask what his name was before she passed out after he totally rocked her world in the bedroom. Since then she's been meaning to come to her senses and tell him she's not the kind of woman who sleeps with a man whom she doesn't even know his name, but every time she tries to get the words out he kisses her and she forgets to say the words.

One day Darla (skeezy-criminal-type friend of her little always-in-trouble sister Ginger) stops at Gwen's house and says something that makes Gwen realize her little sister might be in some serious trouble. This is the beginning of the likes of problems Gwen never dreamed of having. These problems result in the attentions of numerous hot guys such as Detective Lawson and Tack (head of the Chaos MC), and also cause the Great MM (whom we learn is named Hawk) to wake up and realize he's had a good thing for a year and a half in Gwen, so he's ready to stop effin' around and make them a relationship in the daylight to go along with what they've been doing at night. YUM!

Favorite Quote:
“Are you here to freak me out in any other way?"
"Nope."
"This would include asking me for a date," I warned.
"Babe, don't date," he replied.
"You don't?"
"Do tequila shots followed by 5 hours of sex count as a date? he asked.
"Um... no," I answered.
"Then I don't date."
I smiled at him.
Then, stupidly, I asked. "You can have sex for 5 hours?"
He smiled at me.
Yikes.
Moving on.”"

I won't ruin this with spoilers peeps! I won't! But what I will say is that there's laughter, heartbreak, loads of action, bossy type men who you will want to kick and then kiss, all wrapped up in a book with characters you WILL NOT forget. Trust me when I say: READ THE BOOK! 5 Wine Glass Toast!

  1. I love KA's books. The Dream Man series were the first books of hers I read, while I love them all - the other MM in this series is my favorite.
