Stuck in a colorless world, Tyra Masters decides to chuck her old life and starts searching for something. She doesn’t know what it is until she meets her dream man. The goateed, tattooed, muscled, gravelly voiced motorcycle man who plies her with tequila and gives her the best sex of her life. But she knows it isn’t the tequila and sex talking. He’s it. He’s who she’s been daydreaming about since she could remember.
Until he makes it clear she isn’t who he’s looking for.
Tyra slinks away from his bed, humiliated. The problem is, he’s her new boss. She just may or may not have forgotten to tell him that part.
Kane “Tack” Allen has a rule. He doesn’t employ someone he’s slept with. And he lets Tyra know that in his motorcycle man way. Tyra fights for her job and wins it using sass and a technicality. Tack challenges her that if she hits his bed one more time, she loses her job.
Tyra is determined to keep her job and keep away from Tack. But she makes a big mistake. During their head-to-heads, she lets it all hang out and shows Tack she is who he’s looking for. And Tack has had a good woman slip through his fingers, he’s not about to let that happen again.
Although Tack colors Tyra’s world with a vibrancy that’s blinding, being with him means she has to live in his Motorcycle Club world. Full on, no holds barred. And since Tack’s world, not to mention Tack, is a little scary, Tyra isn’t so sure.
It's Tack's job to convince her.

Crystal L's Thoughts:

This is the book that started it all for me. My first initial hit of Kristen Ashley book crack. I don't know that KA will ever be able to write a man that I love more than Kane 'Tack' Allen!

Tyra is trying to step away from the bad in her life, and start over with some good. That's brought her to a new job as the Office Manager at Ride, which is owned and run by the Chaos MC. When she goes to a party the day before she starts her new job at the Chaos compound she meets her dream man. They shoot tequila, they laugh, and then they tear up the sheets like its nobody's business. Tyra knows this is the man she's been waiting for her entire life. Well, she knows that until Tack gives her a slap on the ass, and then tells her to take a hike. Now Tyra knows that Tack's a giant jerk and wonders how her dream man radar could have been so damn wrong.

The next day Tack is none to happy when he finds out that Tyra is suppose to be his new office manager. He's ready to boot her ass off his property, but Tyra snaps, throws him lots of attitude and tells Tack that she's working this job and he'll just have to get over it. Tack sees from the attitude that he might have made a mistake kickin' Tyra out of his bed. Thus starts Tacks one-of-a-kind pursuit of the woman he thinks could finally be the one for him. The journey isn't easy though. There are evil hoochie mama's along the way that love to rub their past tangos with Tack in Tyra's face. There is huge trouble that has Tack scrambling to keep Tyra safe. And there is crazy ex-wife drama that sends Tack's two kids to their Dad's house to live.

I freakin' LOVE this book! I love the depth to Tack and Tyra. The nuttiness of their courtship. The highs and lows they go through trying to make it to the other side of all the drama together. And not only do I love Tack and Tyra, but I love Tack's kids. Which is good for me since KA has a new spin off series coming out in the beginning of April featuring Tack's daughter Tabby and one of the Chaos boys, Shy.

One of my favorite quotes (because there are many in this book):
“Tack grinned.
"You know," I started, "it's annoying when you grin all know-it-all."
"This isn't my know-it-all grin, Red. This is my I'm gonna get me some later grin."
I felt a couple of quivers that were on the high end of pleasant scale.
Still, I shared. "That's even more annoying."
"Don't know why since me gettin' some means you're gonna get some.”

This isn't just a 5 wine glass toast. This is 5 wine glasses, a barrel of wine for refills, and a shed load of appetizers to go with all the liquid fun. Read it lovelies! You will not be disappointed!

  3. Love Tack. That quote is one of my favorites.
And as far as the Dream Man Series-Tack is at the top. Tyra was also my favorite lady in this series.
