Crystal L's Thoughts:

*crazed fan girl scream* Okay, so I love Shelly Laurenston books. And by love I mean obsessed in the sense that I'm just falling short of a restraining order. So when this book popped up on NetGalley I downloaded that sucker faster than you can say shapeshifter. I dropped everything else I had going for the day and hung my sign on the door that says "If You Disturb Mom She Will Ground You For Life", and dove right in. As usual, I was not disappointed and Laurenston delivered a book that had me laughing my ass off. In fact, I would say this is one of my favorite Pride Series books now because she had appearances throughout it of some of my favorite past characters like Sara, Micki and Irene. Not to mention Laurenston gave us a whole family of evil little geniuses to read about here!

The Jean-Louis Parker family is beyond nutty and loads of entertainment. All of the children, except for the oldest Toni, are prodigies of some sort. Math, Science, Art, whatever. They all excel at something besides Toni. Toni excels at keeping her crazy ass family together and organized. Toni's mom moves them to New York for the summer across the street from none other than Jessica Ann Ward's wild dog pack because Toni's mother wants to mentor Jessica's son. Toni despairs of her family's crazy antics while trying to keep them from causing mass mayhem.

Ricky Lee Reed sees Toni at the hockey rink and decides she's pretty, and he'd like to get to know her a lot better. It's all that crazy multi-colored curly hair she has. It gives her a sexy I-just-rolled-out-of-the-bed look. He ends up running into her the next day with his truck (literally) and this time, Toni is unable to brush off Ricky's advances because her pain in the ass (but entirely love-able  younger brother Cooper decides that Ricky would be good for Toni.

Do you see the beginnings of mayhem peeps?! It's all the Laurenston craziness you've come to love with an awesome new family to boot! This is a MUST read book. As in, you must take your tushy over to a book store this very second and buy the book because it's just that damn good. 5 Wines Glass toast all the way! I'll tell you one last little thing, Olivia (Toni's best friend  was my favorite character and I hope like hell her book is next!
