Good morning lovelies! I'd like to welcome author Mertianna Georgia who is joining us today with a fun post about her new release, Syn in the City. She will also be offering a giveaway at the end so stick around!

Mertianna Georgia
First I’d like to say thanks so much, Crystal, for having me on your blog. Today I’m here to talk about my new Urban Fantasy release and the trouble my heroine, Cara, gets into when not one, but three sexy supernatural men vie for her attention.

Syn In the City features Cara Augustine, a witch who’s doesn’t have any powers -- a huge disappointment to her supernatural family.  She’s born on the same day as her two cousins, Evika and Sonya, who are also her best friends.  On their twenty-first birthdays, Evika convinces Cara to go out in San Francisco to celebrate their joint birthday.  In an abrupt change of events, Cara’s powers decide to manifest and they turn out to be the rarest abilities.  Cara is a synemancer, a witch who can draw energy from other supernatural beings to create an immense source of power.  Unfortunately Cara’s power has a mind of its own and attracts a variety of supernatural men to it can grow in strength.  To complicate matters further, Cara’s cousin Evika goes missing the night of their birthday celebration and Cara is now being chased by deadly, demonic creatures.

Catriona by Jeanette Baker Blog Tour (Guest Post)

Today we have a blog tour with author Jeanette Baker and her novel, Catriona from Pump-Up-Your-Books. You can find Lexy's 4- wine glass review of Catriona * here*

What Stays Out, What Goes In

Research, for a historical author, is the most exciting part of the writing process, with the added benefit of the travel perk. Research is where we find our inspiration, settle on our plots, come up with our characters and, of course, travel to locations where our heroes could have lived out their lives. Historical novels, for the most part, combine realistic settings with fictionalized characters, although they frequently include recognizable names from the past.

Kate Sutherland always felt out of place in brash and modern Southern California. But when she comes to her ancestral home in the Shetland Islands to seek a mystical guide who may shed light on her true heritage, Kate is plagued with visions of a life from five centuries past.... A fiery young woman of royal English blood, Catriona Wells is determined to save her family from the deadly political clashes of 15th-century Britain. But Cat's cunning is no match for Scottish border lord Patrick MacKendrick. When this powerful warrior betroths her against her will, Cat must decide whether she dares to love him -- and to trust him with lives that are more precious to her than her own.
Meanwhile Kate, whose dreams rapidly take on a reality of their own, is caught between a present-day attraction to a charming Scottish historian -- and risking everything in Catriona's dangerous world of passion and bloodshed.

Lexy’s Thoughts:
This is a tale of courage. This is a tale of reaching deep within yourself to find the missing pieces of your soul.
