Friday Book Blogger Hop, Follow & Tag Along! (12/3)

The 18 & Over Book Blogger Tag Along is hosted by Laurie @ Bitten by Paranormal Romance.
Her question of the week is: Do you have a recent hot m/m read? If not tell us another hot read.    Nope, I've never read m/m and don't think I will in the future, just not my thing. I did just finish Meljean Brook's The Iron Duke and that had some very hot & steaminess in it. Vera nice...
EDIT: Oh, I just thought of a book I read that had a m/m scene in it. Can't remember which of the books in the series it was but it was in Jennifer Armintrout's Blood Ties series, and it was pretty hot.

Follow My Book Blog Friday is hosted by Parajunkee's View. This weeks feature blogger is
Hafsah @ Icey Books and this weeks question is: What do you do besides reading / reviewing as a hobby??                                              Reading is basically my major hobby and what I spend most of my time doing but I also like to make outfits & accessories for my kids to wear, sewing or by hand. And I sometimes sell custom items on Etsy & eBay. I've slacked off on this lately but when my daughter was a baby she always had a totally cute custom outfit to wear. I do lots of things with my kiddo's as well, my daughter has been in dance since she was a baby so we do that twice a week too.

The Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy for Books. The QOTW
comes from Marce who blogs at Tea Time With Marce: "What very popular and hyped book in the blogosphere did you NOT enjoy and how did you feel about posting your review?"
I didn't enjoy the first few books in the Fever series which I know a ton of other bloggers did. And I was nervous and ducking behind my desk while posting my semi-review on the series. *grins*

Thank you for stopping by, have a great weekend and happy reading!
If you want to leave a comment make sure to leave a link to your own blog and I'll comment back. And if you like what you see and decide to follow let me know and I'll be sure to return the love. XOXO

Interview with Thea from Thea Jeanne Designs & a Giveaway!

This month I really wanted to do some guest posts, interviews & guest reviews from fellow bloggers and today I have an old friend, the lovely Thea, over from Thea Jeanne Designs. We are going to mix things up a bit and step away from books & reading for a lil' while today because Thea has some wonderful kids designs that she hand crafts and some smexy adult designs too.

Crystal: Hi Thea & welcome! Can you introduce yourself please and tell us a little about Thea Jeanne Designs?
Thea: Hello my name is Thea and I am a single mother of two. My son 6 and my daughter 4 and I live in bend, OR.  I came up with the name Thea Jeanne Designs because my middle name Jeanne and obviously my first is Thea.
Thea Jeanne Designs offers custom hand made clothing that is unique and personalized to fit you and your child's imaginations.  I make everything from tutus to capes, aprons and all kinds of accessories in between ;-)  I have adult tutus being sold at a  local adult store called Tres Chic, children's aprons, tutu sets and capes being sold at a children's store called Sweet Peas 'n Me in Redmond, OR and I also make costumes for a local dance studio called The Vibe and have a display there as well.

Crystal: How did you get started?
Thea: I started first making stuff when I lived in Florida right after my daughter was born....I was a stay at home mom married at the time and wanted a hobby.  I first started out with scrap booking then moved on to making clothing and accessories.  After I moved back home to Oregon I stopped crafting and went to beauty school and used my artistic ability on hair nails and skin.  After school I still found myself wanting to craft and when my step dad was opening his own business he told me that I could use one of his office spaces and Thea Jeanne Designs was born.  I have had a lot of support from my family and friends and get involved in as many local events as I can to get my stuff out there.

Crystal: What is your biggest inspiration?
Thea: My biggest inspiration would have to be my children....They help me pick out fabrics, embellishments and colors for almost all of my designs.

Crystal: Do you have any advice for amateur crafters out there?
Thea: Hmmm.....That's a hard question cause I still consider myself an amateur lol...but I would have to say that the sky is the limit when crafting there is no right or wrong, whatever your imagination can think of you can turn it into art.

Crystal: Besides handcrafting beautiful tutus & accessories, is there anything else you are passionate about?
Thea: I am passionate about dance, both of my kids are in dance now and they love it. Im so happy that I am able to pass that along and help out the studio as well by making costumes for them.

Crystal: Who is your favorite author or do you have a favorite book?
Thea: I love to read!  I read myself to sleep every night....I don't have a favorite author but i do love to read true crime books and mystery.....But surprisingly one of my favorite books is Eat Pray Love, that women is so inspiring!

Crystal: Where can we find more of Thea Jeanne Designs?
Thea: As I mentioned above I have my stuff in several stores....I also have an etsy shop my user name is the tutufairy9311 and my shop name is Thea Jeanne Designs.  I also sell on ebay my user name there is *Thea*Jeanne*Designs*.  And last but not least you can find me on face book as The Tutu Fairy or my personal profile Thea Lowe;-)

We have a winner!

Random.org selected bibliophile brouhaha as our winner. Congratulations Linds! An email has been sent, please respond within 48 hours.

November Giveaway
My favorite classic is Wuthering Heights. I think it would be interesting if Heathcliff found that he was missing a part of his soul - maybe that's why he was such an awful person! What if he had to go on a quest to find it, with mythical creatures helping him along the way? If he gains back his soul, maybe a vampire makes a deal to raise Katherine, so he could have her back and have his chance at a HEA with her.

And if you missed the post Monday the Thanksgiving Weekend Giveaway winner for a book of their choice from The Book Depository was  Kristen @ My Bloody Fairy Tale. Congratulations Kristen!

Thank you to everyone who participated. Happy Holidays!

"Waiting On" Wednesday (12/01): Unseen by Rachel Caine

Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

by Rachel Caine
February 1st, 2011

After Cassiel and Warden Luis Rocha rescue an adept child from a maniacal Djinn, they realize two things: the girl is already manifesting an incredible amount of power, and her kidnapping was not an isolated incident.

This Djinn-aided by her devoted followers-is capturing children all over the world, and indoctrinating them so she can use their strength for herself. With no other options, Cassiel infiltrates the Djinn's organization-because if Cassiel cannot stop the Djinn's apocalyptic designs, all of humanity may be destroyed.

I purchased the first book, Undone, in this series right when it was released but was kind of iffy about starting it, from the back I didn't think I'd like Cassiel, so it sat in my TBR pile for a long time. Then the Weather Warden series ended, which I absolutely LOVE, and I was super sad and wanted more of Joanna & David so I finally picked up Undone to catch a glimpse of them. I finished it the next day then raced out to buy Unknown too, finished that in another day and now I can't wait for February to get here so I can read Unseen! Really good series so far and if you haven't read it or the Weather Warden series then I really do recommend you adding them to your TBR list, like right now. The Weather Warden series is made of just plain awesomeness and the Outcast Season series is right up there with it.
So what's your WOW?

Happy Hump Day & Happy Reading!
