A heart-pounding new series set in the Black Dagger Brotherhood world, with a scientist fighting to save the timber wolves—and getting caught in a deadly trap herself...

Lydia Susi is passionate about protecting wolves in their natural habitat. When a hotel chain develops a tract of land next to the preserve, Lydia is one of the most vocal opponents of the project—and becomes a target.

One night, a shadowy figure threatens Lydia’s life in the forest, and a new hire at the Wolf Study Project comes from out of nowhere to save her. Daniel Joseph is both mysterious, and someone she intrinsically wants to trust. But is he hiding something?

As the stakes get higher, and one of Lydia’s colleagues is murdered, she must decide how far she will go to protect the wolves. Then a shocking revelation about Daniel challenges Lydia’s reality in ways she could never have predicted. Some fates demand courage, others require even more, with no guarantees. Is she destined to have true love... or will a soul-shattering loss ruin her forever?

Photojournalist Krissa Nadeem ventures into the wilderness to record the destruction by the Larkosian army. When she captures on film the Morgon Guard’s top most wanted enemy in hiding, she sets in motion a journey that will change her life forever. Not just because of the secret she uncovers, but also because of the man who will become her protector. And more.

Bowen Huntergild, stealthy and deadly assassin, is at the head of the task force searching for the Bloodback witch who killed his sister in a blood sacrifice. When Krissa turns in her finding on film, he teams with her to discover the witch's hideout in the wilds beyond Drakos. While he focuses on the job, his dragon stirs, warning him that destiny has more intimate plans.

What neither of them realize is that this one photograph could be the salvation or the doom of them all.

Linda's Thoughts:

Hunt of the Dragon by Juliette Cross is the fabulous fourth and final episode in her epic Vale of Stars steamy paranormal series. In full disclosure, I’m a huge fan of Juliette’s books, including this series. Even so, I was totally captivated by this installment from the prophecy to the prologue all the way to the end. Hunt of the Dragon features Morgan Bowen Huntergild and photojournalist Krissa Nadeem as its main characters – and while their romance is awesome – this book comprises much more than the romance as the arc that has encompassed the entire series evolves towards conclusion. Please know that this tale is told from multiple viewpoints - mostly Bowen’s and Krissa’s – but Mykah, a young dragon who may be the one in the prophecy to save them all, contributes to the storyline too.

#Interview with Author Jenny Colgan of Sunrise by the Sea

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to escape to a remote island sometimes? Dear reader, you can live that dream vicariously through the heroine in SUNRISE BY THE SEA who gets the chance to do just that! And even though we can’t join her, today we get the chance to talk to the author! Welcome Jenny Colgan!

We’re so excited to have you here, but maybe we’re a bit more excited for your newest release to take us back to the island of Mount Polbearne and the Little Beach Street Bakery! True to life you show the previous couple, Polly and Huckle, struggling with their jobs as their young family grows. Speaking of their young family, who play an important role in Marisa’s island experience, did you have more fun writing the twin’s escapades or Neil the puffin?

I loved writing the twins. I really like writing for young children- the twins are 5, Agot in the Mure series is now about 6. I love their directness, and the tangents their little brains take. I don’t like wisecracking super clever children in books, I like real children, in all their unreasonable repetitive glory. Also my friends have boy/ girl twins and their dynamic was so fascinating when they were smaller.

We’re not sure we could choose—puffin or twins—they’re all too much fun! But back to that important role part. When Marisa arrives on the island and goes to pick up her cottage key fro the bakery, Polly recognizes she’s having a panic attack when the shop suddenly becomes filled with people—and Neil. You wrote the panic attack, and the rest of Marisa’s mental health struggles, very well. How did you tap into that emotion to write that scene?

#GuestPost from Author Brittainy Cherry Writes Her Own Mixtape + #Giveaway

Author Brittainy Cherry Writes Her Own Mixtape

Hi, Everyone! I’m Brittainy Cherry, author of The Mixtape, a contemporary romance novel. I am so excited to share Oliver and Emery’s story with you all. These two characters are both struggling through life in their own ways, and it is through music and love that they find their way back to themselves and each other.

The Mixtape could’ve never come together without my own mixtape of sorts to help guide the way to this novel. Music not only plays a huge role in the story, but also in my personal life, so of course I had to whip up my own mixtape as I wrote this story. For example, my playlist began with “Godspeed” by the extremely talented James Blake that set the mood of the story. His tones and lyrics wrapped me up into a warm hug and I allowed the song to move me as I crafted Oliver’s character.

Happy #BookBirthday to The Spark by Vi Keeland

Before I even met Donovan Decker, I knew his shoe size.

You see, I’d gone away for a few days, and in my haste to get out of the airport, I’d grabbed the wrong suitcase.

After checking out the expensive footwear and tailored clothes, I dialed the number on the luggage tag hoping maybe Mister Big Spender might have my bag. A deep, velvety voice answered, and as luck would have it, he had my suitcase, too.

Donovan and I met at a coffee shop to do the exchange. Turned out, it wasn’t just his voice that was sexy. The man holding my luggage was absolutely gorgeous, and we had an immediate spark.

He got me to admit that I’d snooped in his bag and then convinced me to make it up to him by letting him buy me coffee. Coffee led to dinner, dinner led to dessert, and dessert led to spending an entire weekend together. Donovan wasn’t just handsome with a panty-dropping voice. He was also funny, smart, and surprisingly down to earth for a man who wore seven-hundred-dollar shoes.

Did I mention he also did my laundry while I slept?

Definitely too good to be true.

So what did I do to repay him for his kindness?

I waited until he was in the shower, then ghosted him.

My life was too complicated for such a great guy.

In the months that passed, I thought about Donovan often. But New York City had eight million people, so what were the chances I’d run into him? Then again, what were the chances I’d run into him a year later…when I’d just started dating his boss?
