RULE #1 OF WALL STREET: DON'T FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR BILLIONAIRE BOSS.

I hate my new assistant.
I’ve hated them all, but this is a different kind of hate. Her presence is torture.
She’s whip-smart, overly-capable, the only employee of mine who dares talk back.
And the little human smells like temptation. The worst kind.
She dresses to kill, and I’m in danger of dying.
One of these days, she’s going to push me too far.
And she’s completely unprepared for what happens
when you unleash an alpha wolf on his quarry.

I hate my boss.
The Wall Street tycoon is a jerk. A world-class alpha-hole.
Devastatingly handsome but terribly flawed. He goes through assistants like I go through vanilla lattes, and I need this job. But I went to school with bullies like him, so I’m not afraid.
I hate my attraction to him. How sparks fly when we spar.
The way he barks orders and dresses me down.
I hate how I fantasize about him during and after work hours.
He’s danger wrapped up in power,
and he’s getting harder and harder to resist.

Midnight is book one in the Big Bad Boss trilogy. It features a billionaire boss-hole wolf shifter and his freakishly smart assistant.

Crystal's Thoughts:

Madi may have grown up on the wrong side of the tracks, but thanks to her anonymous sperm donor she was granted the education of the elite. Now it's her younger brother's turn to go off to college, but with different fathers he doesn't have anyone to foot the bill like she did. So in order to pay his tuition Madi takes a job on Wall Street, surrounding herself with the type of people she despise most. When she comes face to face with her big bad boss though, Madi realizes that she may have bitten off more than she can chew but she is not a quitter and that's not going to change anytime soon.

Big Bad Boss: Midnight was my first foray into these authors' writing and I enjoyed it! It was a quick and easy read with fun and witty dialogue throughout. A perfect palette cleanser between heavier reads. Madi was a smart and sexy FMC while Brick was straight up alpha-hole but in the best possible way. The writing flowed and while I didn't quite grasp the dynamics of this world, I was enticed by it. With angst, intrigue, spice, family drama, and a smidge of action, I would definitely recommend Big Bad Boss to PNR fans or anyone looking to dip their toes into the paranormal world.

"Madison makes me think before I go for the throat. I try to see things through her eyes."
