Behind the Author: Tamara Hughes (#Giveaway)

Thank you for joining us today as we go BEHIND THE AUTHOR with author, Tamara Hughes, to learn about what she fancies when she isn't writing! Hint; she might have a hobby...or three!

When I was asked what kind of hobbies I have, I almost choked on my coffee. While my husband would say my hobby is to collect miscellaneous crafting supplies and store them in our back office just to drive him crazy, I like think of my hobby habits as whimsical. I dabble in one thing until my mood shifts and then I move on to something else.

When I was a kid, I didn’t do a ton of craft type stuff. I latch hooked a few rugs and cross stitched some towels. But once married, I got the itch to be creative. It started out simple enough, using craft kits. I made ornaments for our Christmas tree – felt mice holding wreaths or gingerbread men. I also continued some cross stitch, giving away pretty much everything I made. When the kids came along, I stitched them stockings.

#Review: Guardian Agent by Dana Marton - 4.5 Wine Glasses

Format: Kindle Edition, 61 pages

Rating: 4.5/5

A commando unit on the trail of a rogue soldier.
A determined young woman who will sacrifice anything to save her brother.

Recognizing one of the hunters as her teenage crush is definitely a shock to her system. Can she convince him that her brother was framed? Can she stop from falling in love with him all over again?

Linda's Thoughts:
Jasmine hurried along the Grand Canal, dodging a group of diehard revelers, glancing back over her shoulder for the hundredth time. She couldn't see Gabe Cannon anywhere.
Her teenage fantasy man was hunting her brother. She sure hadn't seen that coming. Freaking surreal.
He looked just as good as when she'd first met him at that airport and had fallen instantly in love over pizza and chips. One of those unavoidable pitfalls of life, really. He'd been more handsome than any of her pop idols, and her teenage emotions had been just begging for an outlet.
She cringed in embarrassment when she thought of all the melodramatic drivel she'd written about him in her high school diary.

Interview with author, S.K. Falls of ONE LAST SONG

Lexi: NA, YA, no matter what you call it this book deals with some serious issues and will make you emotional. The book, One Last Song and the author is our guest today. Welcome S. K. Falls!

Thank you so much for having me! I’m thrilled to be here (and at a fellow vino appreciator’s blog, no less!). ☺

Lexi: The tag line of the blurb for One Last Song packs a lot of punch, “I was seven when I swallowed my first needle”. And it sounds like the book is just as strong. What kind of research did you do to get into the head of someone with Munchhausen’s?

Morgan le Fay, 6th-century Queen of Gore and the only major character not killed off by Mark Twain in A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court, vows revenge upon the Yankee Hank Morgan. She casts a spell to take her to 1879 Connecticut so she may waylay Sir Boss before he can travel back in time to destroy her world. But the spell misses by 300 miles and 200 years, landing her in the Washington, D.C., of 2079, replete with flying limousines, hovering office buildings, virtual-reality television, and sundry other technological marvels.

Whatever is a time-displaced queen of magic and minions to do? Why, rebuild her kingdom, of course—two kingdoms, in fact: as Campaign Boss for the reelection of American President Malory Beckham Hinton, and as owner of the London Knights world-champion baseball franchise.

Written as though by the old master himself, King Arthur’s Sister in Washington’s Court by Mark Twain as channeled by Kim Iverson Headlee offers laughs, love, and a candid look at American society, popular culture, politics, baseball...and the human heart.
