Who is ready for more blogoversary fun!? We had to invite a fellow wine lover who also happens to be a talented author…welcome Randi Cooley Wilson!
Lexi: What is your wine of choice, Randi? We are going all out and have a variety. Sort of like your variety of genres you write: NA Paranormal, Fantasy, and Contemporary Romance. Do you change the kind of wine you drink with the type of book you are writing?
Hi! Thank you so much for having me here today to celebrate your blogoversary. I’m very excited to be part of this special occasion. This might just be my favorite interview ever because I’m allowed to discuss wine!
Okay, my personal wine of choice is Cabernet Sauvignon. My husband happens to be a certified sommelier and tends to spoil my wine palette. As a creature of habit, I don’t tend to change wine with genre of writing.
Lexi: I have paired my wine with my current reads; our monthly wine club made me start thinking that way. A light sweet moscato goes well with fun contemporary romances. If you had to pick, what would you say goes with your book Revolution?
What a fantastic idea. I would recommend an Alicante from Spain. It’s a big, full-bodied red wine known for its intense color and spicy fragrance and has rich deep flavors with lush sweet undertones. Similar to Revolution.
Lexi: Speaking of your Revelation series, you have the fifth book releasing this November. Since we are currently celebrating, this will give you some good practice for that day. What will you do on your book’s birthday?
I do. Whenever I release a book, I tend to hide away and write. Restoration is the final book in The Revelation Series, so release day for me will be bittersweet.
Lexi: Book birthday’s are so fun, at least from the readers side, we don’t have to agonize over all the crazy details and continually check social media. And the teasing blurbs and pretty covers are finally available to put our greedy little hands on! What could be better? Well? What one thing do you love celebrating more than a book’s release?
Laughs. All true. As a reader, I love when something I’ve been waiting for releases. It’s like a blogoversary party everyday. I’m not sure if there is a lot that tops a highly anticipated book release day. I think anything celebration around my daughter tends to be pretty special.
Lexi: We love reasons to celebrate, and drink wine though you really don’t need a reason to do that. Thank you for stopping by to lift a glass with us and we hope to see you back with your next releases so we can celebrate with you! Thank you, Randi!
