Brent Mason and Hayden Winstead can't stand each other. She plans exclusive parties for her rich familys charities. He's a rough and tumble cop who rigs explosives for a living. Could two people be any less suited for conversation? They think not and prefer to keep it that way.
Unfortunately, their two best friends are deeply, disgustingly in love. Forced together, the mutual attraction simmering beneath the surface of Brent and Hayden's non-relationship grows with every argument until it explodes into a scintillating night of mind-blowing sex. And it wont be the last, as far as Brent's concerned.
Hayden has a secret, though. Her father's company is relying on a merger to save them from financial ruin, and only Hayden's marriage to the CEOs wealthy son can secure the deal. If she's to protect her family, she'll have to forget Brent. And he has no intention of being forgotten.

Thoughts:
Asking For Trouble was a hot, sexy, consuming read that I couldn't put down!

First introduced in Officer Off Limits with their best friends Daniel and Story, Brent Mason and Hayden Winstead are like oil and vinegar together. From two completely ends of the social spectrum, they can needle each other with just a glance. Brent see's Hayden as a spoiled princess and all Hayden see's when she looks at him is a crude brute. But under all that annoyance is a sizzling attraction that blows them both away when they enter into a carnal challenge.

Underneath the posh exterior is a giving heart in Hayden, she's dedicated  her life to her family and charities that she organizes and runs herself.  Where as Brent is a provider and protector. He works two jobs to help pay for his brother's mortgage while he is overseas in the military, and his sister's college tuition. Neither of these characters are what the other see's at first and have many captivating layers. The chemistry between Hayden and Brent explodes from the pages! My Kindle is still smokin' from the hotness that is Brent!  Hayden secretly craves control and Brent is just giving enough to hand over that control exactly where she needs it most. Dirty talking, shifts in dominance, arguing for foreplay; volatile and passionate - these two will keep you frantically turning the pages for more.

The insults Hayden and Brent throw back and forth is beyond entertaining but Hayden can more then hold her own against this sizable alpha male. Throw in some between the sheets puns and dry humor, and you never have to worry about the story dragging. I loved Asking For Trouble just as much as the first book in this thrilling series, Protecting What's His. And each book in this series can be read as a stand-alone, though every now and then you will get a cameo appearances from past characters like in this book. I'm looking forward to more Line of Duty novels from this talented author!
