Sadie Townsend is known by all as The Ice Princess and she’s worked hard to earn her reputation. Her father, a now-incarcerated Drug Lord, has kept her under his thumb her whole life and she’s learned enough from living in his world to give everyone the cold shoulder. But one inebriated night, she shows the Real Sadie to the undercover agent she knows is investigating her father, the handsome Hector Chavez, and he knows he’ll stop at nothing to have her.
Hector makes one (huge) mistake; he waits for Sadie to come to him. Tragedy strikes and Sadie’s got a choice, she can retreat behind her Ice Fortress or she can embrace the Rock Chick/Hot Bunch World. Guided by Hector, the Rock Chicks, the Hot Bunch and her new gay roommates, Buddy and Ralphie, Sadie negotiates a life out from under her father’s thumb, a life that includes poison, arson and learning how to make s’mores.

Fiona's Thoughts:

This is Sadie's and Hector's story. If you thought Eddie was hot, wait until you have seen his little brother. Hector has been around to pop into stories along the way, but this is the first in-depth look at him. He is just as hot and bad-ass and alpha as Eddie. Except Hector takes it a step further. He was an undercover DEA agent. The undercover agent to bring down Sadie's drug kingpin father.

You would think that the fact that he sent her father to prison would be a wrench in their love story. Wrong. Sadie was happy to be free from her controlling father. Wanted to find the real Sadie. Now I will say there was times that I wanted to slap her, with all of her different Sadie personalities she was trying out (and naming) and tell her that they were all her. Thankfully Hector takes care of that.

Now this story has all the same fun loving antics that we have come to love and expect from our Rock Chicks and hot bunch, kidnappings and girls armed with tasers. But it also involves Sadie being violated in the worst way. I think KA did an amazing job of writing this, and how Sadie and Hector dealt with it.

Now Rock Chicks, we have made it through the series up until Ally's story. I cannot wait!! I will miss not getting new Rock Chick books, but if you have read any other KA books, then you know characters from one series to another have been known to pop up in her other stories!
