Welcome back to our Character Love Letter's Event and Happy Valentine's Day! XOXO We have a letter from a very surprising guest today that I hope you enjoy!

In which we find a very special letter to Lady Eve Windham, heroine of Grace Burrowes’ Lady Eve’s Indiscretion…

LADY EVE’S INDISCRETION BY GRACE BURROWES
IN STORES FEBRUARY 2013
Lady Eve's Got The Perfect Plan… Pretty, petite Evie Windham has been more indiscreet than her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Moreland, suspect. Fearing that a wedding night would reveal her past, she's running out of excuses to dodge adoring swains. Lucas Denning, the newly titled Marquis of Deene, has reason of his own for avoiding marriage. So Evie and Deene strike a deal, each agreeing to be the other's decoy. At this rate, matrimony could be avoided indefinitely...until the two are caught in a steamy kiss that no one was supposed to see.

  2. Debby, I tried and tried to come up with a letter from Eve to Deene, Deene to Eve, and I kept hearing hoofbeats, clip clop, clip clop... For a horse, I think King William did OK...

I have been a big fan of yours ever since the Heir. Sounds like another terrific book!

  4. Love the letter and King William. I don't ever recall a horse's character coming through to such a wonderful extent in any story outside that which focuses on the horse. And I loved Eve & Deene's book which I just finished the other night!

  5. May, glad you're enjoying the books, and this one turned out particularly well (for which King William must take some of the credit, of course).

Cathy, I've known some stallions, and not a one of them lacked for personality and self-esteem, and yet, they were good boys, too, most of them. William's role grew into an ending i hadn't foreseen myself.

  17. I do believe that King William is smitten with Lady Eve. And that the way to his heart is through his tummy (he mentioned a lot of different treats she could give him, lol).

  18. Right now, Ms. Burrowes, I have your last 3 books stashed away. I am afraid to read them because I'm "storing up my nuts for the winter." I have pre-ordered "Darius" but I don't want to end up like my husband who has read ALL George RR Martin and is now bereft of his favorite author! Every few days I take your books out and think: "Today I will read them..." but I still wait. It's pathetic!

anyway, I love your books and please keep writing. I love your sense of period style prose. I loved "The Courtship" too!
