It's all about the ROMANCE...with Anya Winter of The Mask (Tour/Guest Post/Giveaway)

Welcome back, I hope that everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day yesterday! I have another spectacular post for our It's all about the ROMANCE event that I hope you'll enjoy, please welcome erotic romance author Anya Winter!

Valentine’s Day is my type of holiday! It’s the one day (or week in my case) that I can indulge in chocolate that my husband buys me and not feel guilty for it (so what if all that chocolate wasn’t part of his gift...I only added a few extra pieces - lol).

Have you read The Mask yet? If you love chocolate and a steamy romance then you should. Especially for Valentine’s. It’s filled with chocolate - all my favorite desserts.

Since this is a holiday where we give gifts to others - and chocolate is normally the preferred gift of choice - I thought I would share with you my favorite all time chocolate recipe. Turns out it’s Eve’s favorite too.

Homemade Chocolate Mousse.

8 squares of semisweet chocolate
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons butter (the real deal only)
3 egg yolks
2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/4 cups of whipped whipping cream

Now the magic:

Heat the chocolate squares, 1/4 cup of water and butter in a double boiler or microwave until the chocolate and butter are melted. You’ll be tempted to dip your finger in and lick it - don’t. It’s hot! Let cool for 10 minutes and then you can :)
In a small saucepan, whisk the yolks, sugar and rest of the water. Cook on low heat for 1-2 minutes, then remove and whisk in the chocolate. Set the pan in a bowl full of ice and keep stirring until it’s cool - you might want to use children to help with the mixing (help build those strong muscles) for about 5-10 minutes.
Then fold in the whipped cream. If you’re tempted to dip your finger in the whip cream - go for it!
Spoon the decadent and delicious dessert into small bowls and put in the fridge either for 4 hours or overnight.

I suggest either making this RIGHT before you go to bed - otherwise the temptation might prove too strong and you won’t let it cool long enough - or make it before you have to go shopping or have coffee with your girlfriends.

Enjoy!

  13. I' a disaster when it comes to desserts and baked goods - I usually just do stuff that come in boxes or packets. I may just have to give the chocolate mousse a try :) Decadent deserts, a female chef and a hot guy that could make or break her career sounds like one hot mix. Thank you for the chance to win your book.
